Xiong Yizhi, a Qinghai "post-75s" cadre who worked at Tsinghua University in his early years, has recently taken up his new post.
According to the Qinghai Party History Network, on April 30, Liu Qifan, deputy secretary of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee, went to the Party History Research Office of the Provincial Party Committee to carry out a "May Day" award-giving activity, awarded the "Qinghai Province May Day Labor Certificate" to the research office, and paid a cordial visit Condolences to all party history cadres. Xiong Yizhi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the General Office, presided over the award presentation event. Wu Youzhen, member and vice-chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, read out the "Decision on Commending the May Day Labor Award of Qinghai Province and the "Worker Pioneer" of the Qinghai Plateau," Provincial Party History Yan Gaoguo, director of the research office, made a speech. Li Jiacheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee, and Zhao Huifan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Government Working Committee attended the meeting.
This also means that Xiong Yizhi, who previously served as director of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce, is now deputy secretary-general of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and director of the General Office.
Public information shows that Xiong Yizhi, Han nationality, was born in January 1975. He was admitted to the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1993 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1997. From 1998 to 2004, he studied at the 21st Century Development Research Institute and the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University, and was awarded Master and doctorate degree in management. After graduation, he did postdoctoral research at the School of Public Administration and stayed at the school. From 2008 to 2009, he went to the United States as a visiting scholar at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

Xiong Yizhi served as assistant to the dean of the School of Public Administration at Tsinghua University, deputy secretary of the party committee of the school, director of the Tsinghua University Employment Guidance Center, and director of the Student Affairs Office of Tsinghua University. In May 2015, Xiong Yizhi was appointed director of the President’s Office of Tsinghua University.
In January 2016, Xiong Yizhi was transferred to Qinghai and was promoted to executive deputy director of the Qinghai Provincial Talent Work Leading Group Office, and later served as deputy director of the Organization Department of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee. The Qinghai Party Building Network shows that during his tenure as deputy minister of the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Xiong Yizhi was in charge of the Research Office, the Fourth Cadre Division, the First Civil Service Division, the Second Civil Servant Division, and the Third Civil Servant Division.
In July 2021, Xiong Yizhi assumed the new post of deputy secretary of the Qinghai Haixi Prefecture Party Committee, and later served as secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Provincial Department of Commerce in January 2023, and was later elected as director. In May 2024, the Standing Committee of the Qinghai Provincial People's Congress decided to remove Xiong Yizhi from the position of director of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce.
