Dancing in Huangpu, shining in Shenzhen. From May 25th to 26th, the two-day 2024 China Sports Dance Open Series and China Sports Dance Club League were held at the Luwan Gymnasium. This competition brought together 126 participating teams and more than 1,600 top dancers from all over the country.
The China Dance Sports Open Series is a high-standard and high-quality top domestic competition created by the China Dance Sports Federation. This year is still presented in the "61" format, with six sub-stations in Wuhan, Shanghai, Huainan, Taiyuan, Ningbo, Beijing and the finals. This event is the second stop of the 2024 China Sports Dance Open Series and China Sports Dance Club League. The competition is divided into two categories: standard dance and Latin dance, covering professional group, A group, prime group, youth group, college student group, junior group, women's single elite group, decathlon group and other groups, comprehensively displaying China's The competitive level and artistic charm of sports dance.
The China Sports Dance Open Series is a stage for young people to pursue their dreams. 21-year-old Li Hang and 19-year-old Guo Yuhui are from Qinhuangdao Sports Dance Secondary College. They are a pair of Latin dance partners. They have received sports dance training since they were young, but their real pairing was only three years ago. They train for more than 6 hours a day and work as coaches at amateur training institutions on weekends to support their "dance". Their biggest goal is to join the national team one day.
Li Hang told reporters, "Our advantage is that we are explosive and expressive on the court. However, once everyone's attention is focused on it, the shortcomings of not being delicate enough in our movements will be exposed. This depends on the accumulation of long-term basic step training. Luwan Stadium has hosted dance sports competitions for many years and is also the venue for the World Dance Sports Competitions. Complete facilities and a Shanghai-style atmosphere allow all dancers to enjoy it. Guo Yuhui said: "I love sports dance very much. Every time I feel the enthusiasm given by the audience on the field, it will continue to inspire me and I am willing to persevere."
From the youth group last year to the 21-year-old group this year, the competition has become more intense. Li Hang and Guo Yuhui join hands with each other to pursue their dreams. Li Hang said: "I have been with many dance partners. The current partners work well together in terms of personality and professional skills. Each other sees the advantages in each other and makes themselves better." Guo Yuhui believes that mutual tolerance and understanding are the basis , "It's not enough for only one party to work hard. It's a good run-in if everyone has the same goal and works together."
Luwan Stadium has been comprehensively updated in 2020, and the stage design for the event is based on international competition standards, providing players with a first-class competitive environment. The gorgeous stage lights, cheerful jive dance, and elegant waltz are intertwined into moving pictures, making the audience feel as if they are in an international competition. According to statistics, this competition attracted more than 2,000 spectators to watch the game, and the atmosphere was warm.
