2023 E-Sports Shanghai Masters is upgraded and returning to create Shanghai’s own brand of e-Sports events
With the shining silver permanent trophy of the E-Sports Shanghai Masters rising, the 2023 E-Sports Shanghai Masters opened at the Jing’an Sports Center on December 1 and ended on December 5.
As the first comprehensive e-sports event in China named after a city and led by the government, this competition has attracted the participation of leading domestic teams and top clubs, and even players who won gold and silver at the Asian Games have appeared. The competition will include four competition events: League of Legends, DOTA2, Honor of Kings, Identity V, and Street Fighter 6 performance events. Among them, three are official competition events of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

On the same day, as the theme event of "2023 Shanghai E-sports Masters", the "E-sports Industry Development Conference" officially landed in Shanghai and will be held during the annual Masters. These topics are the hottest topics of the year selected from dozens of industry topics suggested by all members of the Shanghai E-Sports Association, industry representatives, experts and scholars.

Since Jing'an District, where this event is held, established the goal of building the "Lingshi China E-Sports Center" in 2019, there are currently nearly 100 e-Sports companies in the district, including game development and operation, e-Sports event operations, e-Sports Clubs, e-sports education, e-sports MCN, etc., from upstream game manufacturers to mid-stream events, clubs, production companies, and downstream live broadcast platforms and peripheral products, have formed a relatively mature and complete e-sports industry ecosystem.
