There are also seven beautiful fishing villages, and the four major coastal areas in Shanghai have announced their positioning to avoid the "thousand cities, one side" Jinshan | Binhai | Fishing Village
In the future, there will be more places to face the sea and enjoy the warmth of spring without leaving Shanghai. According to the Shanghai home event of World Ocean Day and National Ocean Promotion Day held today, Shanghai will create many distinctive marine tourism destinations by 2035, with a coastline length of nearly 29 kilometers and a total backbone greenway length of 580 kilometers.
Among these distinctive marine tourism destinations, the most anticipated are the four coastal city "business cards" - Baoshan Main City Area, Jinshan Fengxian Coastal Area, Chongming Chengqiao Area, and Nanhui New City. Each region will combine its own reality to form unique coastal features.
The main urban area of Baoshan will focus on the "Riverside Metropolis, Cruise Port City", creating a riverside cruise tourism cluster that integrates international cruise ships, industrial relics, and diverse red culture features. With Wusongkou International Cruise Port as the landscape core, iconic waterfront buildings, waterfront leisure squares, and large cruise terminals as imagery elements, it will concentrate on reflecting the urban window image of Baoshan International Cruise Port.
The Jinshan Fengxian Coastal Area will focus on the "Shanghai Bay Area, Golden Coast", relying on folk cultural resources such as marine intangible cultural heritage, coastal defense, and fishing, as well as tourism resources such as Jinshan City Beach, Jinshanzui Fishing Village, Jinshan Three Islands, Fengxian Bay Forest Park, and Bihai Jinsha. It will introduce top international tourism brands, gather characteristic tourism formats, and create a world-class coastal tourism and vacation destination.
The Chongming Chengqiao area will focus on "the charm of Jiangnan and the characteristics of islands", creating a modern rural waterfront town that is ecologically livable. The waterfront space will be used as the urban skeleton to protect the remaining sand island characteristic architectural elements, highlight the island's growth context, and strengthen the island's memory.
Nanhui New City will focus on "the future capital, the charm of the sea and lakes", with Dishui Lake as the core area, relying on the characteristic landscape of lake sea integration, and focusing on creating a city interface around the lake and facing the sea, as well as a landscape corridor facing the sea and vertically infiltrating, to shape an international style, futuristic feeling, and sea lake charm of the sea city.
On the basis of the four major coastal areas, Shanghai will also create seven beautiful fishing villages that are livable and business friendly, namely Jinshanzui Fishing Village in Shanyang Town, Jinshan District, Yingdong Village in Chenjia Town, Chongming District, Xiyu Village in Chenjia Town, Chongming District, Lvhua Town, Lugang Village in Chongming District, Fengle Village in Hengsha Township, Chongming District, Haixing Village in Luojing Town, Baoshan District, as well as Tanhu Island Tanhu Village jointly built by Fengxian District and Shengsi County in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province.
These beautiful fishing villages will showcase marine ecological culture and the accumulation of marine fishing culture that has been passed down from generation to generation through exhibitions of marine fishing culture, fishing port cuisine, and island leisure tourism experiences.
"'One River, One River 'is a prominent water culture business card in Shanghai. In fact, Shanghai also has rich marine cultural and tourism resources." Qian Xiaofeng, Director of the Sea Area and Island Management Office of the Shanghai Ocean Bureau, introduced that the sea area of Shanghai is 10600 square kilometers, with a total of 26 islands of various sizes, including 3 residential islands. The coastline of mainland and residential islands is 572 kilometers long.
In the 14th Five Year Plan, Shanghai has clearly proposed to further expand public coastal spaces, promote the remediation and restoration of coastal areas, and meet the public's demand for high-quality coastal spaces.
