The 12th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC held its third plenary meeting on July 4, 2023.

75 members of the Municipal Party Committee and 15 alternate members of the Municipal Party Committee attended this plenary session. Members of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, responsible officials from relevant parties, as well as some Shanghai representatives of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and representatives of the 12th Municipal Party Congress, attended the plenary session as non voting delegates.

It was pointed out at the plenary session that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China mapped out a grand blueprint for comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization, and made it clear that high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a modern socialist country.Strive to create a new situation of building a socialist modernized international metropolis with global influence.

The plenary session emphasized that embarking on a new journey, modernization construction has put forward higher requirements for deepening reform and opening up. We must firmly adhere to the correct direction of reform and opening up, fully implement the requirements of the central deployment, and organically unify the logic of technology, market, and governance.
