On September 1, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Ji Guogang, a former member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Xizang Autonomous Region People's Congress, was accused by the procuratorial organ of bribery and abuse of power by state-owned company personnel.

Ji Guogang was born in August 1962 and is about to turn 61 years old. He is from Yanji, Jilin and is a Ph.D. in economics. According to the prosecution's accusations, Ji Guogang's actions have two "peculiarities" - a particularly large amount that caused significant losses to national interests. Specifically, he is accused of using the convenience of his position, or the convenience conditions formed by his authority and position, to seek benefits for others, illegally accepting property from others, with a particularly large amount. At the same time, while concurrently serving as the chairman and legal representative of Xizang Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., he engaged in malpractices for personal gain and abused his power, resulting in particularly heavy losses to national interests. The procuratorial organs pointed out that they should be held criminally responsible for the crimes of bribery and abuse of power by personnel of state-owned companies in accordance with the law.

On January 8 last year, Zhang Yongze, Vice President of the Autonomous Region, was investigated and became the "first tiger" in 2022 and the first provincial and ministerial level cadre in Xizang since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
