There is no trivial matter in people's livelihood, and the branches and leaves are always related to feelings. Follow the General Secretary’s footsteps and see the new changes in the lives of “Central people”.
Zou Huiyan, a "gold medal" volunteer guide, has been extremely busy these days. As summer vacation approaches, the red study tours in the village are gradually becoming popular. Zou Huiyan receives an average of three or four study tours like this every day.
Zouzhuang Village is an immigrant village in Danjiangkou Reservoir. More than ten years ago, Zou Huiyan and the villagers moved here from Youfanggang Village, 16 kilometers away, for the construction of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
Zou Huiyan, who serves as deputy director of the Zouzhuang Village Committee, is responsible for the development of the village's collective industry. Since 2021, the village has carried out large-scale greenhouse planting and developed immigration cultural tourism projects, and the villagers have eaten "ecological rice" and "tourist rice".
Eleven years ago, Shibadong Village in Hunan Province, located deep in the Wuling Mountains, was a deeply impoverished village with no industry and almost zero village collective income.
Nowadays, the bluestone road leads to the door of the house, and the house is equipped with LCD TVs, refrigerators, rice cookers and other household appliances.
Fangcheng New Village is a relocation village for poverty alleviation. Since 2018, more than 200 households of villagers have moved here from the earthen caves on the thin land of sloping beams and saline-alkali land where they have lived for generations. They have all been lifted out of poverty by developing the characteristic yellow flower industry, and their lives have changed since then.
Over the past four years, Fangcheng New Village has changed every year. Huanghua Industrial Park and smart greenhouses have sprung up. Young people can find jobs through skills training. The elderly have someone to take care of their three meals a day and daily life in the "nursing home", and children are thriving in modern kindergartens.
Rural revitalization is progressing steadily, people's living standards continue to improve, the central region is full of vitality, and it is time to forge ahead.
