On the afternoon of May 30, President Xi Jinping held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing with President Mohammed of the United Arab Emirates, who was in China for a state visit and attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.
Xi Jinping pointed out that the UAE is an important comprehensive strategic partner of China. In recent years, under our joint leadership, China-Arab relations have maintained a good momentum of development and set a model for relations between China and Arab countries in the new era. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Algeria. It is an important node for China-Arab relations to connect the past and the future. China is willing to work with Afghanistan to continue to firmly grasp the general direction of bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective and ensure that the China-Arab comprehensive strategic partnership always flourishes.
Mohammed said: "My dear brother, Your Excellency President Xi Jinping, first of all I would like to express to you that I am very happy to visit my second hometown China again. It is my honor to attend the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum At the opening ceremony, I also wish China a success in convening this important meeting. The UAE attaches great importance to developing partnership with China and gives it the highest priority.”
