Currently, operating vehicles are not equipped with child safety seats. I think there are two main reasons. Child safety seats are large in size. Once installed and used in commercial vehicles, they will affect the ability to carry passengers. Looking around the world, the practices of some countries are worth learning from. For example, countries such as Germany and Australia have clearly stipulated that even taxis should be equipped with child safety seats, and the United States has now legislated to require taxis to be equipped with child safety seats. Regarding the portability of safety seats, taking Germany as an example, their taxis use safety seat booster cushions, which are only the size of ordinary seat cushions and can be directly fixed with the vehicle's three-point safety belt, thus ensuring the safety of children. It will not have any impact on the operation of commercial vehicles.
Therefore, I suggest that we can first advocate the pilot configuration of smaller child safety seats in well-known taxi companies such as Volkswagen and Johnson & Johnson, and gradually promote them to other taxi companies and online ride-hailing; at the same time, optimize the taxi-hailing software backend and client , vehicles equipped with child safety seats have eye-catching logos and separate options to facilitate passengers to directly select and place orders on the taxi app, thus effectively ensuring the safety of children when traveling.
