The first person to be named and reported is Liu Shuoke, former Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Xiangtan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He has the problem of using his position to provide assistance for his wife and son in business activities.

After investigation, from 2005 to 2022, Liu Shuoke took advantage of his position as Director and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Xiangtan High tech Zone Management Committee, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Xiangtan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and illegally greeted relevant public officials, providing assistance to his wife Lin for a technology company in Hunan to carry out "campus communication" business in Xiangtan City, and Lin gained huge benefits from it. From 2019 to February 2023, Liu Shuoko used his position as Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Party Group of the Xiangtan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to illegally provide assistance to his son Liu in carrying out water slag sales business in a certain group company, from which Liu profited a total of approximately 1.49 million yuan. Liu Shuoko also has other serious violations of discipline and law.

Liu Shuoko was reported to have "double opening" on July 26 this year, and his violations of discipline and law were also exposed. It is understood that from 2004 to 2021, during his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Wuling District Committee, District Government Mayor, Deputy Mayor of Changde City Government, and Standing Committee Member of the Municipal Party Committee, Tu Bibo helped family businesses make profits in real estate development and construction by organizing dinners, introducing and recommending family members, and directly greeting them. With the continuous promotion of Tu Bibo's position, the family business has grown and gained momentum. They have established or actually controlled 8 real estate companies and developed 12 real estate projects in Changde. Tu Bibo and his wife participated in investment dividends and obtained huge profits. From 2017 to 2018, Tu Bibo used his power to provide assistance to his wife and brother Ouyang in financing and debt projects, and secretly transferred huge profits through Ouyang's acquisition of land use rights at a low price. Tu Bibo also has other serious violations of discipline and law. In June 2023, Tu Bibo was expelled from the Party and public office, and his illegal gains were confiscated. At the same time as Tu Bibo's issue, Tang Jianchu, a former member of the Party group and deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, was also reported on issues such as providing assistance for family and friends to make profits, and his illegal investment in agricultural companies. From 2004 to 2022, Tang Jianchu served as the Chief Agronomist of the Provincial Agriculture Commission, a member of the Party Group of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Deputy Director. He accepted a request from his younger brother, Tang Moumou, and used his power or influence to provide assistance for others in matters such as agricultural fund allocation and engineering project contracting. Together with Tang Moumou, he received more than 1.8 million yuan in gifts from others. From 2018 to 2022, Tang Jianchu instructed his subordinates to send letters to the agricultural and rural systems of various cities and prefectures to help his classmate Jiang's media company recruit business. Jiang gave Tang Jianchu 400000 yuan for this. From 2014 to 2016, Tang Jianchu used his power to repeatedly greet his relatives and help them illegally obtain agricultural subsidies totaling 300000 yuan. From 2020 to 2022, Tang Jianchu invested 150000 yuan in a certain agricultural company in the name of others. Tang Jianchu also had other serious violations of discipline and law. In March 2023, Tang Jianchu was expelled from the Party and public office, and his illegal gains were confiscated. He was suspected of committing a crime and was transferred to the procuratorial organs for examination and prosecution in accordance with the law.

According to a previous report from the Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, since the special rectification of leading cadres using their power or influence to make profits for family and friends in February this year, as of the end of May, Hunan has organized more than 360000 party members and cadres to conduct self-examination and self correction. 266 people have voluntarily reported relevant issues, including 26 department level cadres, 127 department level cadres, and 113 department level cadres; 241 individuals voluntarily reported violations of business and business practices by themselves, their spouses, children, and their spouses, and 25 individuals used their power or influence to profit for their relatives and friends.
