2, the Yangtze River Delta Railway Dragon Boat Festival is expected to send passengers, more than 20% of the same period in 2019.
This year's railway Dragon Boat Festival short holiday transportation period from June 21 to 25, counting 5 days. During the small and long holiday transportation period, it is expected to send 15 million passengers, more than 20% of the passenger volume in the same period in 2019. Among them, June 22 is the peak day of passenger flow, and about 3.5 million passengers are expected to be sent on that day.
During the transportation period of the small and long holidays, the overall passenger flow is mainly medium and short distance travel, with short distance passenger flow mainly concentrated between the central cities and tourist cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Midway passenger flow is mainly concentrated within the 4-hour travel range of the high-speed rail, with Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi, and Hunan as the key directions of passenger flow; In addition, the passenger flow of the new line has become a key focus of increment, and the radiation effect of the new line is significant. In recent years, the Shanghe Hangzhou High speed Railway, Lianzhen High speed Railway, Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway, Yantong High speed Railway, and Xulian High speed Railway have successively opened and operated. The new line connects the areas along the line with regional central cities and key cities in an orderly manner, playing a positive role in radiation and drainage, and facilitating people's travel. In the recent May Day holiday, the passenger volume of the above-mentioned new lines accounted for nearly 20% of the total passenger volume of the Yangtze River Delta Railway.
3, Suqian imported container waterway transportation, the first time to achieve local customs clearance.
On June 7, the Asian textile imported wool containers loaded by COSCO Shipping Freighter arrived at Suqian Port through Shanghai Port for customs clearance through the inner branch line Beijing-Hangzhou Canal barge. This is the first time since the establishment of Suqian City that imported container waterway transportation has been cleared locally, marking the further substantial improvement of the port function of Suqian Port and will effectively reduce the logistics cost of enterprises.
In 2021, Suqian promoted the opening of its first foreign trade container route, and historically introduced a central enterprise - COSCO Shipping Group - to settle in. Since its establishment, foreign trade goods have been declared and exported through customs at the "doorstep". Suqian has exported more than 30 types of goods, including photovoltaics, panels, furniture, home appliances, and external electromechanical products, to countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and Europe. From January to May this year, the port's freight volume reached a new high, with a container throughput of 94254 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 68.98%; The throughput of foreign trade containers reached 4176 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 79%.
Since the opening of foreign trade routes, import cargo in Suqian has been constrained by factors such as cargo supervision characteristics and logistics channels, and has not yet broken through. This has led to a lack of entry and exit for foreign trade cargo in Suqian Port, greatly restricting the improvement of cross-border trade facilitation and the improvement of inland port functions in Suqian. The implementation of import customs transfer this time has saved transportation costs for enterprises by about 18%, and compressed time by about 50% in priority berthing, forward supervision, inspection and quarantine, and station turnover operations.
