Long Xiaohua previously served as the Director of the Office of the Ethnic Affairs Commission of Hunan Province, Deputy Director and Director of the Hunan Provincial Office Affairs Management Bureau, and Deputy Secretary of the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Committee. He was appointed as Governor in 2017 and resigned in December 2022. He joined the Provincial Political Consultative Conference in January 2023 and was dismissed one month later.
