The Ministry of Transportation replied, "Can the Elderly Respected Transportation Card be Unified?": We are cooperating to promote the loading of relevant functions for social security cards that meet the conditions
On September 8th, the Chinese government online published a response from the Ministry of Transport to netizens regarding the suggestion of "whether elderly care transportation cards can be uniformly processed nationwide.".
The netizen who claimed to be a retired elderly person left a message saying that transportation respect cards are being applied for all over the country. Why can't we create a unified national card? Elderly care cards are available in various regions and are not convenient for the elderly. If we create a nationwide unified elderly care card that can be used nationwide once, it will be much more convenient for the elderly to follow their children and not have to apply for a card everywhere.
In response, the Transportation Service Department of the Ministry of Transport stated that in order to facilitate people's cross city travel, the Ministry of Transport has launched the national transportation one card interconnection work since 2013 and continues to promote it as an important livelihood project. The transportation one card interconnection has been achieved in 330 cities at or above the prefecture level nationwide. Users can take various public transportation modes such as buses and subways in 330 cities at or above the prefecture level by holding transportation cards with the "Transportation Union" logo issued by any city.
The Transportation Service Department of the Ministry of Transport emphasizes that the Ministry of Transport is currently cooperating with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to promote the loading of transportation and travel functions on social security cards that meet the conditions, making it convenient for use in other places.
