He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
According to the open resume, Liu Weimin, male, Han nationality, was born in February 1962 in Lixian County, Hunan Province. He joined the CPC in June 1984 and started work in July 1984. He has an on-the-job postgraduate degree, a master's degree in agriculture, and an associate professor.
In his early years, he served as a teacher in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Guangxi Agricultural University and the manager of the Planning Department of Guangxi Agricultural University's New Technology Corporation. Since 1996, he has held various positions including Deputy District Mayor of Nanning Suburb, Standing Committee Member and Deputy District Mayor of Nanning Suburb Party Committee, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of Nanning Agriculture Bureau Party Committee, Secretary and Director of Nanning Agriculture Bureau Party Group, Deputy Secretary and District Mayor of Nanning Xingning District Committee, Secretary of Nanning Xingning District Committee, Deputy Director and Party Working Committee Member of Guangxi Nanning Wuxiang New Area Planning and Construction Management Committee.
In 2014, Liu Weimin was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Nanning City, and in July 2021, he was appointed as a level inspector.

The plenary session reviewed and approved the review report of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the Communist Party of China Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Comrade Liao Liyong's serious violations of discipline and law, and confirmed the punishment of revoking Comrade Liao Liyong's position within the party made at the 109th meeting of the 12th Party Committee Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region.
It is worth noting that this is the first official disclosure that Liao Liyong is involved in serious violations of discipline and law. Previously, the former mayor of Nanning, Guangxi, had been out of public view for 8 months.
According to public data, Liao Liyong, male, Han nationality, was born in November 1971 in Shaoyang, Hunan Province. He joined the CPC in June 1991 and began to work in August 1996. He majored in Marxist philosophy in the Department of Political Economy of Guangxi Normal University, with a postgraduate degree and a master's degree in philosophy.
Liao Liyong has served as the Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Nanning Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. In December 2003, Liao Liyong was appointed as the Secretary of the Chongzuo Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. In 2007, he was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Youth League.
In 2012, Liao Liyong was appointed as the Secretary of the Fuchuan County Committee of Hezhou City, and also served as the Director of the Management Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Hezhou China Resources Circular Economy Industry Demonstration Zone. In 2014, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Hezhou Municipal Committee, and the following year, he also served as the Minister of the Organization Department of the Hezhou Municipal Committee.
In 2017, Liao Liyong was transferred to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Fangchenggang Municipal Party Committee. In December 2021, Liao Liyong was transferred to the position of Deputy Secretary and Acting Mayor of Nanning City. He was appointed as the Mayor of Nanning City in January 2022 and resigned from his position in December 2022.

According to the Regulations of the CPC on Disciplinary Actions, disciplinary actions against Party members are divided into: warning; Serious warning; Revoke party positions; Stay with the party for inspection; Dismissal from the Party.
Revocation of disciplinary action within the Party refers to the revocation of disciplinary action taken by a Party member who has been elected or appointed by an organization within the Party. For those who hold two or more positions within the Party, the Party organization should clarify whether to revoke all of their positions or one or several positions when making disciplinary decisions. If it is decided to revoke one of its positions, the highest position held must be revoked. If it is decided to revoke two or more of their positions, they must be revoked in sequence starting from the highest position they hold. For those who hold positions in non party organizations, it should be suggested that non party organizations take corresponding measures in accordance with regulations.
For those who should be punished with revocation of their party positions but have not held any party positions, they shall be given a serious warning. At the same time, those who hold positions in non party organizations should be advised to revoke their non party positions.
If a party member is punished with revocation of his/her position within the party, or is given a serious warning in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, he/she shall not hold any position within the party or recommend to non party organizations positions that are equivalent to or higher than his/her original position within two years.
