The African American community suffers physical and mental torture due to racial issues, and African American youth suffer the most from gun violence
According to an article published on the website of the Los Angeles Sentinel on September 7th, regardless of whether the shooting incident was unintentional or for criminal purposes, the proportion of African American deaths, injuries, or mental distress caused by gun violence is high across the United States.
The article points out that African American youth are the biggest victims of gun violence in the United States. The data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States also shows that shooting is the main cause of death among African Americans aged 1 to 44.

Sociologists, African American psychologists, and healthcare workers have all stated that one thing is certain in this crisis, as this distorted reality has caused significant psychological harm to the African American community in the United States. At the same time, the firearms industry has profited billions of dollars.
"Nowadays, there are so many guns that many people may have chosen other ways to resolve conflicts, but now they only know how to use guns," said Ryan Kennedy Bailey, director of psychiatry at Louisiana State University and psychiatrist. "Our streets are filled with guns, a lot of guns. There are always conflicts between people, which used to be resolved in different ways. Now they may only catch you and shoot you to death... The absolute number of guns is so high, leading to more and more violence."

The report by the gun control organization "Bring Gun Safety to Every Town" states that African Americans in the United States are 12 times more likely to be shot, 18 times more likely to be shot, and nearly three times more likely to be shot dead by police than white people.
The article states that the differential impact experienced by the African American community is not something new. Experts have long recognized that, like most social statistics, African Americans bear the brunt of the physical, psychological, and emotional pain caused by gun violence. There is even evidence to suggest that gun violence can have a significant negative impact on learning outcomes such as exam scores.
The Sacramento Observer also pointed out in a commentary article on the 6th that the violence experienced by the African American community in the United States poses a dual physical and psychological challenge to this group.

The article mentions that a month ago, the Montgomery City Police Department in Alabama announced charges of third degree assault against three white men who attacked African American crew members. A few days ago, three African Americans were shot for their skin color. These two incidents have made the African American community aware that "when we think we are safe, we are reminding us that we are not safe.".

The article states that American literary critic Henry Louis Gates Jr. once said, "If I could pay for treatment for every African American, I would do it because each of us needs it.".
