Recently, the public security organ in Pu'er, Yunnan Province actively carried out border police cooperation with relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar. 1207 suspect involved in fraud in northern Myanmar were successfully handed over to us, including 41 online fugitives. This is another major result of the crackdown after 269 suspect involved in fraud in northern Myanmar were captured earlier.
On September 3, the public security organs in Xishuangbanna carried out a joint operation with relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar, successfully captured a number of suspect, and won the first battle of the strike. In order to extend the depth and breadth of the crackdown, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed public security organs in Yunnan and other regions to continuously increase their work efforts, take various measures comprehensively, and advance the crackdown action in depth. Recently, under the command and deployment of the Ministry of Public Security and the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department, the Pu'er Public Security organs actively cooperated with relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar in border policing, and promptly reported fraud dens and personnel clues to them. On September 6, the relevant local law enforcement departments of Myanmar carried out an arrest operation, and concentrated on transferring 1207 fraud suspect to us, as well as a large number of crime tools such as computers, mobile phones, mobile phone cards, bank cards, etc. The results of the crackdown continued to expand, forming a constant deterrent to the fraudsters.
At present, the public security organ is carrying out examination and investigation on the suspect transferred to us according to law. For those suspected of fraud, cross-border smuggling and other illegal crimes, the public security organ will thoroughly investigate all criminal facts and punish them severely according to law; For families who report being stranded overseas, the public security organs will carefully organize investigations. If it is found that they have been illegally detained or infringed upon overseas, relevant national and regional law enforcement departments will be urged to severely punish criminals and resolutely protect the personal safety and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security stated that overseas is not an illegal place, and crimes will be severely punished.
