Putin sends congratulatory messages to Kim Jong un
According to TASS on September 9th, Russian President Putin sent a congratulatory message to North Korean leader Kim Jong un on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of North Korea's National Day. Putin stated that the development of Russia North Korea relations in various aspects is conducive to ensuring the security and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.
According to a report by Voice of Korea Radio, Putin stated in a congratulatory message, "I believe that through joint efforts, we will continue to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields in a planned manner, which is fully in line with the interests of our two peoples and conducive to ensuring security and stability on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia."
According to the report, Putin pointed out that the Soviet Union was the first to recognize the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a new sovereign state. "Since then, the relationship between our two countries has been built on the principles of friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual respect, and has accumulated rich experience in constructive cooperation in various fields.".
The report also stated that Putin wishes Kim Jong un good health and new achievements, and wishes all North Korean people peace and health.
