Li Qiang Meets with South Korean President Yoon Seok yeol
On the afternoon of September 7th local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with South Korean President Yoon Seok yeol during a series of East Asian Cooperation Leaders' Meetings in Jakarta.
China is willing to work with South Korea to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, uphold the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, enhance political mutual trust, eliminate interference, move towards each other, promote the development of China South Korea relations with the times, better benefit the people of both countries, and promote peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region.
Li Qiang pointed out that both sides should adhere to the direction of good neighborly friendship, continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and work together to address difficulties and challenges. To expand common interests, accelerate the negotiation of the second phase of the China South Korea Free Trade Agreement, explore new growth points in cooperation such as high-tech, green and low-carbon, jointly maintain the stability and smoothness of the industrial and supply chains, continuously expand the cooperation cake, and better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. We must respect each other's core interests and major concerns, and safeguard the overall situation of China South Korea relations. China has always supported the reconciliation and cooperation between the North and South of the Korean Peninsula, advocated for maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula, and will continue to work towards promoting peace and negotiations.
Yin Xiyue wished the Hangzhou Asian Games a complete success and expressed that South Korea China relations have achieved tremendous development in the past 30 years, benefiting both countries and their peoples. The South Korean side is willing to work with China to strengthen communication and dialogue at all levels, deepen exchanges and cooperation in economic, trade, and cultural fields, practice multilateralism and free trade, promote stable and healthy development of South Korea China relations, and promote world peace and prosperity. The South Korean side is willing to strengthen coordination with the Chinese side and promote trilateral cooperation between South Korea, China, and Japan.
