Li Qiang Meets with Australian Prime Minister Albanese
On the morning of September 7th local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Australian Prime Minister Albanese during his attendance at a series of East Asian Cooperation Leaders' Meetings in Jakarta.
In the past year, with the joint efforts of both sides, China Australia relations have continued to show a positive improvement momentum. A healthy and stable China Australia relationship is in line with the fundamental interests and common aspirations of the two peoples. China is willing to work closely with Australia to restart and resume exchanges in various fields, continue to promote institutional dialogue and consultation in diplomacy, economy and trade, education, consular and other fields, and provide solid support for the improvement and development of bilateral relations. Adhering to the principle of seeking common development while sharing opportunities, China will continue to expand its high-level opening-up to the outside world, providing larger markets for countries including Australia. We hope that Australia will adopt an objective and fair attitude towards the investment and operation of Chinese enterprises in Australia. Both sides should handle their differences properly in the spirit of mutual respect, seeking common ground while reserving differences, and promoting further improvement and development of bilateral relations. The Asia Pacific region is the common home of China and Australia. China is willing to work together with Australia to maintain peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region.

The Australian side is encouraged by the progress made in the relationship between the two countries and is willing to promote dialogue and exchanges with the Chinese side in a spirit of mutual respect, deepen cooperation in economic and trade fields, expand cultural exchanges, properly manage differences, build stable and constructive Australia China relations, and benefit the people of both countries.
