China and Indonesia sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Economic Coordination of the Republic of Indonesia on E-commerce Cooperation
On September 8th, during the visit of Premier Li Qiang to Indonesia, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Indonesian Minister of Economic Coordination Erlanga jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Economic Coordination of the Republic of Indonesia on E-commerce Cooperation in Jakarta.
China and Indonesia are important economic and trade partners to each other, and the two countries have broad prospects for cooperation under the framework of jointly building the "the Belt and Road". According to the memorandum, both sides will establish an e-commerce cooperation mechanism, strengthen policy communication and experience sharing, support enterprises of the two countries to carry out e-commerce full industry chain cooperation, conduct personnel training and joint research, continuously improve the level of trade and investment facilitation, expand the field of digital economy cooperation, and jointly inject new momentum into bilateral economic and trade relations.
As of now, China has established bilateral e-commerce cooperation mechanisms with 30 countries, including Indonesia.
