Interview by CCTV reporter | Station design along the Yawan high-speed railway highlights Indonesian elements
The Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway has a total of four stations along the route from the Indonesian capital Jakarta to Bandung, all designed by China. The design ideas of the stations are inspired by the natural mountains and rivers of West Java, as well as the beautiful curves of the waterfront coast, highlighting Indonesian local elements and showcasing the speed, technology, and futuristic feel of the high-speed railway. Follow the camera of the CCTV reporter together for a quick glimpse.
CCTV reporter Tang Xin: This is Halim Railway Station in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway, the first high-speed railway built and operated in Indonesia and even throughout Southeast Asia, starts from here and heads east to Bandung city. As the first railway station on the entire line, the building area of Halim Railway Station has reached 26000 square meters, making it the largest among the four railway stations on the Yawan high-speed railway. The newly built Yawan high-speed railway starts from here and reaches Bandung City, covering a total distance of 142.3 kilometers. The maximum operating speed of the train reaches 350 kilometers per hour, and the travel time between the two cities has been greatly reduced from over 3 hours in the past to over 40 minutes now.
CCTV reporter Tang Xin: Leaving Halim Railway Station in Jakarta, the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway headed east to the second station on the entire line, Karawang Railway Station. This station is located near a nearby industrial park, so the design concept of the station also stems from the development and transformation of Karawang from a traditional agricultural granary to a modern new industrial town. The fa ç ade of the Karawang Station building adopts a continuous "Y" - shaped bracket, symbolizing the appearance of a traditional granary; The outer side of the glass curtain wall adopts a simple grid system, a large area of steel structure, and a non suspended ceiling system, symbolizing the power and texture of modern industry. The design of the entire station reflects the symbiosis and development of agricultural civilization and industrial civilization.

CCTV reporter Tang Xin: Continuing eastward, the train arrived at the third station of the Yawan high-speed railway, Padarang Station. This station is the only railway station on the entire Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway line that can transfer to existing railways in Indonesia. It can be said to be a transportation hub type railway station. Before the arrival of high-speed rail, there was only an old railway built over 100 years ago between Jakarta and Bandung, with an operating speed of only over 50 kilometers per hour. Therefore, most people chose to travel between the two places by road, resulting in huge traffic pressure and obvious congestion. The arrival of high-speed rail has also changed everything.
The island of Java in Indonesia, where Jakarta and Bandung are located, has a population of over 100 million. Traffic congestion and other issues have been troubling the people here for a long time, constraining economic growth and social development. The arrival of high-speed rail is expected to greatly alleviate the existing traffic pressure.
CCTV reporter Tang Xin: The last stop of the Yawan High Speed Railway is here, located at the De Karur Railway Station in Bandung City. Bandung, known worldwide for its first Asia Africa Conference held here in 1955, is also a well-known and well-known name for Chinese people. Bandung has beautiful scenery and is a vacation destination on the island of Java, Indonesia. The final station of the Yawan high-speed railway, Dekarur Railway Station, is built amidst mountains, surrounded by winding river water. The design concept of the railway station follows the theme of "blending mountains and rivers, the beauty of nature".

In addition to four train stations, the Yawan High Speed Railway also has the only high-speed train depot on the east side of the Dekarur Station, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and other tasks of the Yawan High Speed Railway trains.
CCTV reporter Tang Xin: Along the way through mountains, rivers, and rivers, Chinese high-speed rail builders, along with Indonesian partners, have built such a high-speed railway on Indonesian land from scratch, ushering Indonesia into the era of high-speed rail. People are also expecting that high-speed rail will contribute to the growth of Indonesia's economy and social development in the future. And Chinese high-speed rail people also believe that with this first overseas trip, China's high-speed rail can gain valuable experience, further develop and improve, and continue to benefit more countries and people.
