In recent years, the United States and the West have constantly fabricated such whoppers as "China's debt trap", "China's hackers", and "China's threat of investing in global ports", aiming at cooperation projects among countries such as the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and trying to suppress China by spreading rumors and split the cooperation and development between China and other countries. However, the fact shows that the so-called "China threat theory" does not exist at all. It is entirely a deliberate attempt by the United States and the West to shift blame towards China, highlighting its increasingly serious hegemonic anxiety.
Developing countries do not believe the lie of "China's debt trap" fabricated by the United States and the West. In fact, Chinese funds have provided important impetus for the economic development of developing countries. According to the World Bank's estimation, if all the transportation infrastructure projects under the "the Belt and Road" initiative are implemented, by 2030, it is expected to generate 1.6 trillion dollars of revenue for the world every year, accounting for 1.3% of global GDP, of which 90% will be shared by partner countries.
The "China debt trap theory" advocated by the US and Western countries is just to play up the so-called "China threat theory", which is rooted in the hegemonic mentality. The countries participating in the "the Belt and Road" initiative highly recognize the cooperation with China, which has caused the United States and some western countries to suffer from "red eye disease". The United States has always relied on its US dollar hegemony to harvest developing countries. A few years ago, the United States implemented a monetary policy of quantitative easing, with a large number of low interest US dollar loans flooding into developing countries, driving up their debt levels rapidly. After the outbreak of the COVID-19, the Federal Reserve continued to raise interest rates aggressively, resulting in capital outflows, currency devaluations and a sharp increase in the debt burden in dollar terms in many developing countries.
Compared to the United States using financial hegemony to undermine developing countries, China has been actively helping developing countries alleviate their debt difficulties. Justice and freedom in people's hearts, the tricks of the West have long been seen through by many developing countries. In the future, China will continue to practice the correct concept of justice and benefit and the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, adhere to the principle of mutual consultation, joint construction and sharing, actively promote the docking of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with national development strategic planning, contribute to helping developing countries achieve independent and sustainable development, and respond with openness and transparency to the smear and declamation of the "the Belt and Road" initiative by the United States and the West.
