Inner Mongolia Ordos reports the latest situation of high-pressure gas leakage accident: an investigation team has been established to thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident
At around 16:00 on September 7, 2023, a high-pressure gas spray accident occurred in the gasification workshop of Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. in the north project area of Duguitala Industrial Park, Hangjin Economic Development Zone, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. This resulted in workers working at heights being sprayed and falling. After on-site verification and identification, a total of 10 deaths and 3 injuries have been caused so far. At 4 pm on the 8th, the Ordos "9.7" production safety accident investigation and disposal command held a press conference, announcing the work of accident rescue and wounded treatment.
At the press conference, Zhang Zhongping, the leader of the People's Government of Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, introduced that after the accident occurred, the autonomous region, city, and banner immediately activated emergency plans, established a leadership group for accident investigation and disposal, established a unified scheduling and division of responsibilities working mechanism, and established eight special working groups for accident investigation, medical assistance, aftermath disposal, and logistics support, and quickly carried out work according to their respective responsibilities.
One is to immediately carry out on-site rescue. After the accident, the city of Ordos quickly organized professional forces such as emergency, health, public security, and fire to rush to the scene and made every effort to rescue. A total of 27 rescue vehicles and 169 staff were dispatched, and at around 16:30 on the same day, the accident site control and emergency evacuation of personnel were completed.
The second is to provide emergency treatment for injured personnel. The injured were immediately sent to the nearest Urad Front Banner People's Hospital for emergency treatment. In order to provide better treatment for the injured, three of them were transported overnight to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Hospital at around 22:10 on the same day for further diagnosis and treatment.
The third is to eliminate on-site safety hazards. At around 0:30 on September 8th, local emergency, environmental protection, housing and construction departments and relevant experts organized a comprehensive inspection of the air quality and building safety at the accident site and surrounding areas to prevent secondary accidents from occurring.

Establish an accident cause investigation team composed of emergency, public security, fire protection and other departments, select authoritative experts in the chemical industry, thoroughly investigate the causes of accidents, and hold accountable those involved in illegal activities, dereliction of duty, and dereliction of duty in accordance with the law and regulations, without any tolerance.
