Have you checked in yet? The "Queen of Changes" is blooming here
Last year, Century Park introduced the world water lily champion, Vanessa, for the first time, known as the "Queen of Variety". This year, she still drives brightly.
Vanessa is a water lily variety from Thailand. At the 2010 International Water Lily Horticultural Association Annual Conference, it won two awards: "Best Cold Resistant Water Lily New Variety" and "Water Lily New Variety Champion", making it one of the most precious water lilies and becoming the hottest water lily at that time.
The reason why Vanessa is known as the "Queen of Variety" is because its flower color changes during its growth process, and it can basically change one color a day. Sometimes it appears purple red or orange red, and sometimes it can bloom with half yellow and half red "mandarin duck lotus". In a few days, pure white or yellow flowers may appear again.
However, the probability of a two colored water lily blooming is very low, and it is purely a natural accidental formation, not artificial cultivation. It is professionally referred to as "chimerism", which usually refers to individuals exhibiting different genetic traits that are chimeric or mixed. This phenomenon has no regularity to follow so far. However, even without the use of two colored flowers, the shape and color of the flowers of Vanessa are still very popular.
