Located behind Qixia Ridge near West Lake, next to Huanglong Cave, the Huanglong Sports Center, built in 1997, has always been one of the landmarks of Hangzhou urban area. This orange red cable-stayed tower has hosted multiple heavyweight sports events and carries the memories of many people.

After the new renovation, the Huanglong Sports Center has become even more beautiful - the central gymnasium has a bucket shaped screen that can be lifted and lowered, the swimming and diving pool adopts internationally advanced modular swimming pool design, and a 1000 meter long "aerial runway" has been built on the venue
Entering the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium, one can see the grand seating arrangement with the main color of the Hangzhou Asian Games, "Rainbow Rhyme Purple," which is a spectacular sight. Along the colorful stands, two circular screens with the words "Heart to Heart, @ Future" surround the interior of the venue like two blue ribbons.
According to Song Haiqiang, a staff member of Huanglong Sports Center, this type of ring-shaped screen is the first in open sports venues nationwide. The ring-shaped screen can play text and animation, greatly enhancing the audience's viewing experience. In addition, the lawns and runways under the feet of athletes have also been updated and upgraded, with the introduction of anchored lawns, which are more sturdy and resistant to trampling compared to traditional natural lawns.
It is reported that the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium, Gymnasium, and Swimming and Diving Hall will respectively undertake the tasks of football, gymnastics, and water polo in three major categories and five competitions for the Hangzhou Asian Games, as well as the athletics competition for the Asian Paralympic Games.

The reporter once again visited the West Lake International Golf Course located between the green mountains. Entering the field on a golf cart, the sprinkler system is watering the grass. The reporter's first stop is at the green area.
The first goal of golf is to hit the ball onto the green area, and then push the ball into the hole through a putt. There is no fixed size and shape of the green area, but it has one thing in common - the lawn is trimmed shorter and smoother, which helps push the ball, making the grass in this area more delicate than in other areas.
Since the renovation, Qian Shixue, the head of the sprinkler irrigation department at West Lake International Golf Course, and his colleagues have been guarding the course, driving the golf cart around the field every day, observing the condition of the grass, which is their daily routine.
In order to ensure that the green grass meets the Hangzhou Asian Games opening in late September with the best quality, the stadium maintains the lawn by installing electric fans, spraying water to cool down, and increasing the trimming height to cope with hot weather.

It is reported that at the end of July this year, the "full element, full process, and full load" simulation drill, which lasted for two years and was carried out according to the standards of the Asian Games, was successfully completed in all venues. The venue operation team improved the problems found in the simulation drill one by one, and the competition organization and other functions were continuously optimized, receiving recognition from all parties.
