Dawa Yangzong leads the third generation of China's Asian Games flame picking envoy "Yun" in the same frame
On September 8th, the torch relay of the Hangzhou Asian Games was officially launched. Zhejiang Daily and Chao News planned a special spatiotemporal connection, inviting the 1990 Beijing Asian Games flame ambassador Dawa Yangzong, the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games flame ambassador Kang Chenchen, and the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games flame ambassador Wang Chenglu to meet for the first time in the online space "Cloud", to engage in a "Cloud Dialogue" connecting Hangzhou, Lhasa, and Kunming. Three flame collectors recalled their life experiences and career development related to the Asian Games, and gymnastics prince Li Ning also participated in witnessing the same screen collaboration.
Although 33 years have passed, every time he hears the song "Asian Heroes", Dawa Yangzong can't help thinking of the moment when he was 14 years old and collected kindling in Tanggula Mountain, Nianqing, Xizang. That was an unprepared fire gathering ceremony, and Xiaoyangzong successfully completed the fire collection and handed the torch to the gymnastics prince Li Ning. This flame was brought to Beijing and divided into four routes for nationwide transmission, covering a total distance of 180000 kilometers.
On August 7, 1990, at the age of only 14, Dawa Yangzong ignited the Beijing Asian Games flame at the foot of Nianqing Tanggula Mountain in Dangxiong County, Lhasa.
After going through multiple rounds of selection, Kang Chenchen, the flame bearer of the Guangzhou Asian Games, finally stood on the ignition platform. At the moment when the torch was lit, she was so excited that tears welled up in her eyes. "Looking back now, that was the most glorious moment in my life!"
On October 9, 2010, Kang Chenchen collected the sparks of the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games at the North Beacon Tower of the Great Wall in Juyongguan, Beijing.
Wang Chenglu, a sophomore student from Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, who lives in Cangzhou, Hebei and is studying in Hangzhou, was the flame bearer of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.
On June 15, 2023, Wang Chenglu lit the spark for the Hangzhou Asian Games at the Liangzhu Ancient City Site Park in Hangzhou.
Because of the connection between the Fire Gathering and the Asian Games, and because of this experience, it changed the life trajectory of the three Fire Gathering Ambassadors.
After graduation, Dawa Yangzong stayed at his alma mater to teach. After the merger of the university and Xizang University, Dawa Yangzong successively served as the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the university and the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Political Science and Law.
With a background in art, Kang Chenchen's life trajectory is very similar to that of Dawa Yangzong. After graduating from university, she also stayed at her alma mater - Yunnan Academy of Arts with excellent grades and became a university teacher.
Currently in college, Wang Chenglu has a clearer goal and direction for her future life path. She said, "I will work hard to take the postgraduate entrance exam and find a job that I like in the future."

Li Ning, the Prince of Gymnastics, was very pleased to learn that the torch bearers of the 3rd Asian Games had their first face-to-face conversation. He said, "This reminds me of the moment when I received the torch at Tanggula Mountain in Nianqing during the 1990 Beijing Asian Games. This year's Hangzhou Asian Games is about to be held, and I hope to see more Chinese athletes stand on the championship stage. I also hope that all athletes from various countries participating in the Asian Games can perform to their hearts' content here. Wishing the Hangzhou Asian Games success!"
