On May 28, the 8th Member Congress of Shanghai Television Artists Association was held in the Literature and Art Hall. The conference reviewed and approved the "Work Report of the Eighth Member Congress of Shanghai Television Artists Association", revised the "Articles of Association of Shanghai Television Artists Association", and elected the eighth board of directors of Shanghai Television Artists Association. At the first meeting of the eighth council, a new chairman and vice-chairman were elected. Wang Jianjun was elected as the eighth chairman of Shanghai Television Artists Association, Liang Junxia was elected as resident vice-chairman, and Wang Liping, Wang Leqing, Yin Hairong, Yang Wenhong, He Jie, Song Jiongming, Chen Liang and Cao Kefan were elected as vice-chairmen.
The elected 8th Council of the Shanghai Television Association has 63 directors, covering artists and workers in various professional categories such as Shanghai TV art theory, TV series, documentaries, TV variety shows, TV hosting, and professional technology, as well as in the online audio-visual field and related fields. The managers of film and television creation institutions include experts in academic theory and artists in professional creation; they include senior artists as well as young and middle-aged artists with outstanding artistic achievements. The average age of directors is 48.95 years old, 95.3% are grassroots and creative front-line literary and artistic workers, 81.2% are young and middle-aged literary and artistic workers under the age of 55, and 20.3% are "new literature and art".
Teng Junjie, the seventh chairman, delivered a work report entitled "Strong cultural confidence and bravely shoulder the mission of the times - striving to create a new chapter of Shanghai TV art career", summarizing the main work since the seventh member representative conference, and combined with the association Practically put forward the work concept for the next five years.
