Publish a signed article: A confession full of five poisons - Comment on Lai Qingde's "5·20" speech

Lai Ching-te's inaugural speech on May 20 was a confession that contained five poisons and comprehensively poisoned cross-Strait relations. This speech not only exposed the nature of Lai Qingde as a "Taiwan independence worker", but also showed his political character of disregarding public opinion, being arrogant and stubborn, and going his own way. This speech is extremely toxic, severely undermines peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, and greatly jeopardizes the prospects for the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

The first poison in this speech is "Taiwan independence." This is the source of all the poison that Lai Ching-te uses to poison cross-Strait relations. Lai Qingde integrated all the "Taiwan independence" concepts, "Taiwan independence" fantasies, and "Taiwan independence" thinking throughout his life into his speech. Although he did not dare to blatantly write the word "Taiwan independence" because of the high pressure of anti-"independence" from the people on the mainland and the island, the words "Taiwan independence" are full of flavor between the lines, spreading the "one country on each side" and "two countries theory" "Wait for fallacies. This poison seriously provokes the one-China principle. If Lai Ching-te willfully uses "Taiwan independence" to poison cross-Strait relations and change the status quo of cross-Strait relations, the Taiwan Strait will be in trouble in the future.

The second poison is to regard the mainland as the main enemy, intensify cross-strait confrontation, poison Taiwan society, and shake the foundation of the interests of Taiwan compatriots. Lai Qingde exaggerated "China's military actions and gray coercion" and arrogantly declared that he would "strengthen national defense power" and "achieve the goal of peace through strength." He seems to have put confrontation with the mainland at the top of his cross-strait policy, showing how arrogant Lai Qingde is, and his hatred and hostility towards the mainland are palpable. Lai Qingde regards cross-strait exchanges and cooperation as a "threat" and "infiltration" from the mainland to Taiwan, inciting the people on the island to be hostile and hatred towards the mainland, and also uses green terror such as the so-called "Five National Security Laws" to coerce the Taiwanese people into following the DPP in "anti-China" "Hateful". This approach poses an unprecedented threat to the life and safety of people on the island and seriously damages the fundamental interests of the Taiwan compatriots.

The third poison is to poison the national consciousness on the island. Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the Chinese nation. The Chinese nation, Chinese culture, and Chinese civilization are the roots and soul of the compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan has achieved today's construction achievements only after generations of Chinese people have worked hard to develop it. For his "Taiwan independence" delusion, Lai Ching-te attempted to annihilate the Chinese national consciousness of the island's youth and people, and regarded the year 1624 when the Dutch colonists occupied Taiwan as "the beginning of Taiwan's globalization." This is not just forgetting one's ancestors through reading the classics, but also blatantly treating the Western colonists who invaded Taiwan and plundered resources as one's own ancestors. This is a typical "Taiwan independence view of history" and a poison that poisons the consciousness of the Chinese nation among the people on the island, especially the young people. This is to cut off the roots of Chinese culture on the island. The poison of his intentions cannot be added to.

The fourth poison is to "lead the wolf into the house", kneeling on the ground, spreading your arms and begging for external forces to intervene in the Taiwan issue. Lai Qingde's speech was full of conjectures about colluding with external forces, "relying on foreign countries to gain self-respect" and "relying on foreign countries to seek independence". He claimed that "countries around the world have actively cooperated to maintain regional peace and stability" and that they should "promote value diplomacy and work side by side with democratic countries around the world to form a peaceful community to exert a deterrent force." Lai Ching-te even asked Taiwan to stand on the "first island chain" and serve as the "guardian of the first pass", that is, to voluntarily act as a "pawn" for external intervention forces. The reason why Lai Qingde dared to act so boldly was closely related to the support and encouragement of certain external forces.

The fifth poison is to poison peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. Lai Ching-te puts his personal selfishness and political self-interest above the interests of all Taiwanese people, and ties the people's safety to the "Taiwan independence" chariot and the strategic intentions of external interference forces. He has reached the point of being crazy. Lai Qingde has become the biggest source of chaos for peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. If his plans are allowed to be put into practice, peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait will be severely impacted, and the status quo of cross-strait relations will be greatly damaged.

Peace rather than war, development rather than recession, exchanges rather than separation, cooperation rather than confrontation are the mainstream public opinion on the island. Lai Ching-te ignored public opinion and acted perversely, seriously endangering the interests and well-being of Taiwan compatriots. He will be resolutely opposed and repelled by the majority of the people on the island who advocate the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and hundreds of millions of compatriots on the mainland. The more than 1.4 billion Chinese people, including Taiwan compatriots, will resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity and will never leave any room for illusions by Lai Qingde and the "Taiwan independence" separatists.
