How high are the mountains and how high are the water. The Hani terraced fields of Honghe State, located in the south of Yunnan, is a world cultural heritage. Terraced fields extend from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain at an altitude of over 2900 meters, with a maximum of 3700 levels. Standing on the mountainside, the highest level of terraced fields seemed to have been built all the way up to the clouds. As a complex rice farming system integrating nature, economy, culture and society, the Hani terraced fields of Honghe State has a thousand years of precision agriculture and forestry system, which is amazing. Terraced fields utilize evergreen broad-leaved forest vegetation and plant roots in the forest to absorb and store water sources, providing domestic water for villages on the mountainside and irrigation for the terraced fields below the villages. For many years, Changning District of Shanghai has been continuously exploring new development paths in the process of supporting Honghe County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Based on the local actual situation, it encourages farmers to carry out "terraced duck" breeding around the characteristics of terraced fields, and creates terraced duck brands through methods such as seedling purchase subsidies and order buybacks. During this period, Changyuan Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd., established in Changning, Shanghai, invested in the establishment of Honghe Yungu Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. to deeply develop and tap into the agricultural specialty product resources of Honghe County, and assist local farmers in increasing income and industrial development. Last year, the company also collaborated with Honghe County to carry out a demonstration project for terraced duck farming.

Li Aming is a villager from Wengju Village, Jiache Township, Honghe County. He and his mother are the only ones at home, and his mother is already old. Li Aming did not go out to work and stayed at home to take care of her. In the past, Li Aming's economic sources were limited. Last year, he participated in a demonstration project for terraced duck farming, which increased his income and confidence.

Distribute duck seedlings to farmers

Upon learning that the project was still ongoing this year, Li Aming immediately rushed to the village committee to register. He said, "I don't have any other skills, but I am still good at raising ducks. Last year, with a trial mentality, I received 50 ducks. Earlier this year, Honghe Yungu came to collect the ducks and gave me cash directly. This year, I plan to raise more ducks and save money to renovate my old house.".

The demonstration breeding project for terraced ducks involves farmers subscribing to duck seedlings at low prices and releasing them to low-income farmers who have breeding experience and voluntarily raise them, in order to develop demonstration breeding. At the same time, the enterprise provides full technical services and, after a few months, recovers ducks and duck eggs at a guaranteed price higher than the market.

This year, Honghe Cloud Valley has further expanded its demonstration and promotion scale, attracting more farmers to cooperate in aquaculture. At present, the company has deployed 130000 duck seedlings and cooperated with more than 5000 households. After receiving the duck seedlings, farmers raise them in the original ecological terraced field free range farming method. The qualified adult ducks and duck eggs repurchased by the enterprise will be processed into fresh and frozen ducks, fresh eggs, Salted duck egg, prefabricated food materials and other products through preliminary and refined processing. After customized packaging, the whole cold chain will be sent to all large and medium-sized cities, and finally sold to the terminal market through the sales platform and channels established by China Agriculture Science and Technology Corporation.
