On the afternoon of July 2nd, the first general meeting of the second session of the Shanghai Foreign Enterprise Youth Talent Association was held at the Pudong Cadre College in China.
The Shanghai Foreign Enterprise Youth Talent Association was established in January 2018 and is a non-profit social organization legal entity voluntarily initiated by foreign enterprise youth talents. As of now, there are 70000 foreign-funded enterprises in Shanghai, contributing about 1/4 of the city's GDP, about 1/3 of taxes, more than half of the total industrial output value above designated size, and nearly 2/3 of the total foreign trade import and export volume. Young foreign enterprises play an extremely important role in various industries.
"As the first foreign enterprise youth talent organization in China, the association has gathered a group of excellent foreign enterprise youth." Li Ling, the first vice president and honorary president of the Shanghai Foreign Enterprise Youth Talent Association, as well as the president of CBRE China, introduced that there are currently 300 members, covering 52 Fortune 500 companies, over 150 foreign-owned enterprises, nearly 100 Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan funded enterprises, and 50 Sino foreign joint ventures. 60 members hold the position of Vice President or above in the China region of the group.
Li Ling stated that in the past five years, the association has carried out a series of remarkable work in economic construction, talent recommendation, social welfare, and other areas. The association members are deeply connected, have established various interest groups, and have participated in many public welfare activities, fully showcasing the positive and spirited appearance of young people from foreign enterprises, continuously enhancing understanding among member enterprises, and maximizing the potential for cooperation.
"During this year's Chinese New Year, we participated in the Shanghai Metro Hongqiao Railway Station Spring Festival travel special volunteer activity. The members of the association helped each other, sorted out and exchanged solutions to various problems, which left a deep impression on me," said Fan Chanjuan, Human Resources Director of Johnson Controls Investment Co., Ltd. in China. Peng Linyuan, Chairman of Shanghai Orange Seed Star Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd., said that in the past five years, we have walked into many excellent enterprises together, shared our management experiences, learned from each other, and grew together, benefiting greatly.
Li Ling introduced that how to unite outstanding young foreign enterprises and assist in the development of foreign-funded enterprises in Shanghai is the top priority of the association's next work. On the one hand, the association will continue to build a platform for government enterprise exchanges, gather high-quality global resource elements, and enhance the confidence of foreign investment in Shanghai's development; On the other hand, it will also leverage the leading and driving role of foreign youth, calling on every member to introduce China's development to the world, tell the story of China well, provide suggestions and suggestions for optimizing the business environment, and help Shanghai build a city of hope for young people.
