The program exhibition of the 2023 "Liberation Daily Cup" Shanghai Student Fitness and Dance Competition, featuring dynamic music and dazzling lighting, was held at the Shanghai Sports Center on the 2nd. In the opening show, more than 100 students from Xuhui District gave a special gift to the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the CPC with a collective performance of "sing a folk song to the party".
A major feature of this competition is that it is divided into two parts: competition and exhibition. The competition will be held on June 30th and July 1st at the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University. It is divided into three groups: preschool group, primary and secondary school group, university group, vocational and technical group, and club group. There are fitness aerobics, cheerleading, street dance and other events, and a total of 105 teams from 77 schools and clubs in the city, with more than 2100 participants. Each participating team showcased their skills, and the judging panel carefully evaluated the program arrangement and stage performance. A total of 29 sub items were awarded the first, second, and third prizes.
On July 2nd, the performance moved to the Shanghai Sports Center, where some first prize winning teams and specially invited teams showcased excellent programs. In order to meet the viewing needs of fitness and dance enthusiasts, the organizers of the competition not only offer free tickets to schools and participating teams, but also open ticket grabbing channels to the public. After opening them for a few minutes, they are quickly killed. In addition, medical staff from Zhongshan Hospital and children in need were specially invited to watch high-level competitions on site, offering a token of love.
This exhibition innovatively set up a public jury of 90 people, consisting of leaders, media, professional judges, and the principal of the exhibition school, to conduct PK voting for the participating teams on site. The contestants on stage put in their full effort, showcasing the team's on-site infectiousness with their bright smiling faces and full enthusiasm; The audience below waved fluorescent sticks and shouted loudly, cheering and cheering for their favorite team. In the end, Xuhui Ziwei Experimental Kindergarten and Donghua University Street Dance Team won the "Best Popularity Award" and "Best Strength Award" respectively.
Youth flies and personality is highlighted. The Shanghai Student Fitness and Dance Competition has witnessed children's transition from immaturity to maturity. The Shanghai Student Fitness and Dance Competition, which has entered its 14th year, originated from the 2009 Xuhui District Women's Fitness and Dance Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools. During summer vacation, students have less physical activity, especially girls, who often spend two months living in their homes. The organizer hopes to mobilize the enthusiasm of students for sports and encourage boys and girls to move through fitness activities.
Once the event was launched, it received enthusiastic responses from primary and secondary school physical education teachers and students in the region. Since the event was held, the number of participants each year has exceeded a thousand. Since 2011, the fitness exercise competition has been named by "Liberation Daily", and the scale of the competition has been continuously increasing, with participation expanding to the whole city. The stage where children showcase has also become larger, jumping from the original school sports hall to the Shanghai Grand Stage, jumping onto the TV screen, and now jumping back to the renovated and upgraded Shanghai Sports Center.
With the continuous expansion of the influence of the competition, more and more schools from all over the city are participating, and many schools have formed their own fitness characteristics due to this competition. Initially, students participated in the competition due to their interest. Now, both in terms of program arrangement and stage performance, they have improved to a higher level, making the event more visually appealing. This competition has also been recognized by the Municipal Civilization Office and has been promoted nationwide as a typical case of ideological and moral fitness for minors.
