Zhang Minjie is an athlete from the Chinese National Diving Team and the Shanghai Diving Team, currently studying at Shanghai Sport University. She teamed up with Zhang Jiaqi in the women's synchronized diving 10 meter platform final at the 13th National Games in 2017 and won the championship with a score of 356.58.

After winning the championship, Zhang Minjie specially recorded a video to express her gratitude to the teachers and students of Shanghai Sport University for their support, and wished the other "senior brothers" who participated in the Chengdu Universiade to continue to work hard and create brilliance.

On July 30th, in the women's arches team gold medal at the Chengdu Universiade, the Chinese women's arches team won the team championship by defeating the South Korean team 5-4 in the playoffs. Among the Chinese delegation participating in the Chengdu Universiade, there are a total of 83 teachers and students from 14 units in Shanghai. Among them, there are 61 athletes from 9 universities including Shanghai Sport University, International Business and Economics, Huali University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Lixin University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai Normal University, etc., covering table tennis, water polo, basketball, swimming, athletics, rowing, shooting, badminton and other events.

It is reported that Shanghai Sport University is the Shanghai university with the highest number of athletes participating in the Chengdu Universiade. The FISU World Academic Conference is the highest level educational event of the International University Sports Federation and one of the events in the Universiade series.

The theme of this World Academic Conference is "University Sports: Embracing a Colorful World".
