On the afternoon of July 31st, the 31st FISU World Academic Conference of the World University Games concluded in Chengdu. The Education Committee of the International University Sports Federation issued the Chengdu Declaration on the same day, calling on countries around the world to focus on university sports, gather global youth consensus, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and jointly create a better future for humanity.
The theme of this academic conference is "University Sports: Embracing a Colorful World", focusing on topics such as sports, health, technology, and culture, with the aim of promoting international exchange and cooperation in university sports. More than 530 experts and scholars from 30 countries and regions including the United States, Australia, Germany, Argentina, Finland, Switzerland, and Singapore attended the conference.
The conference consists of multiple parts, including a main report, academic dialogue, special reports, wall newspaper exchanges, sports and cultural exhibitions, and urban cultural activities. Top experts in relevant fields at home and abroad exchange ideas on the forefront, hotspots, and innovations of university sports development research. In the main report segment of the conference, more than 10 academicians, experts and scholars at home and abroad, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the European Academy of Sciences, members of the International Olympic Committee, members of the Education Committee of the International University of Physical Education and Sports Federation, delivered speeches around the theme. The conference also carefully organized and designed 13 special reports and poster exchange activities, covering multiple thematic areas such as "Health makes life brighter", "Culture makes the world more integrated", "Technology makes the future smarter", and "Sports make cities better".

During the conference, the "FISU Healthy Campus" medal ceremony was held, and four universities, Peking University, Donghua University, Chengdu University, and Chengdu Institute of Sports, were awarded the FISU Healthy Campus Certification by the International University of Sports Federation. The medals were presented to them by the acting president of the International University of Sports Federation, Reno Ed. Through relevant conference activities, it fully demonstrated the high-quality development level of China's higher education and the development achievements of university sports, demonstrated the Chinese proposition of the vigorous development of university sports, demonstrated the youth breath and era atmosphere of Chinese path to modernization, and contributed wisdom and strength to promote the construction of a new chapter of the common destiny of mankind.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Wang Qian, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Chengdu FISU World Academic Conference and Vice Mayor of Chengdu Municipal Government. Reno Ed, Acting Chairman of the International Federation of Sports Federations, announced the closure of the conference. Yu Xiaoqi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Chengdu FISU World Academic Conference and Director of the Education Department of Sichuan Province, delivered a closing speech. Verina Burke, Chief Executive Committee Member and Director of the Education Committee of the International University of Sport Federation, summarized the conference, and representatives from Rhine Ruhr, Germany, introduced the Rhine Ruhr 2025 World Academic Conference.
