Analyze consumption trends and release sports achievements

Focusing on the theme of developing the sports industry and promoting sports consumption, the meeting highlighted the concept of integrated development, gathered high-quality enterprises and talents in the industry, and jointly reviewed the phased achievements of Shanghai's sports industry in the past year; interpreted the frontier trends, looked forward to the future of the industry, deepened the cooperation and exchange of government, industry, University and research, and promoted the smooth landing of a number of demonstration industrial projects. The exchange conference showed many outstanding achievements before, and released typical cases of consumption scenes and a survey report on sports consumption of Shanghai residents in 2022.

In order to focus on sports integration service consumption, continuously stimulate the enthusiasm of citizens for sports consumption, and assist in the construction of a globally renowned sports city in Shanghai, the first Shanghai Sports Consumption Festival was held from April 22 to June 30 this year. With the core concept of deepening the linkage between business, tourism, culture and sports, the festival integrates resources such as associations, enterprises, commercial districts, parks, and venues to create a series of sports consumption promotion activities. Since the launch of this year's Shanghai Sports Consumption Festival, sports departments and market entities at both levels in the urban area have focused on the theme of "Shanghi Sports", promoting the linkage between sports and shopping, cultural and tourism, cuisine, and exhibitions. They have gathered high-quality domestic and foreign commercial, tourism, cultural and sports resources, and organized a total of 159 multi theme, multi type, and multi-channel sports consumption promotion activities that integrate online and offline. The "2023 Shanghai Sports Consumption Festival Typical Case Collection" has selected 12 excellent cases, including the 2023 Xuhui District Sports Consumption Carnival, the 2023 Archery World Cup, and the 2023 "Half Matsu River" Sports Life Festival, as results to share.

Consolidate industry strength and jointly build resource platforms

The Shanghai Sports Industry Federation was initiated and established in 2022. By building a bridge between member units, administrative authorities, and other sports associations, the federation truly plays its four functions of "building platforms, providing suggestions, allocating resources, and promoting exchanges", promoting the development of the sports industry and supporting the construction of Shanghai as a globally renowned sports city.

At the meeting, Yang Yibin, Secretary General of Shanghai Sports Industry Federation, interpreted the "Development Strategy of Shanghai Sports Industry Federation" and looked forward to the medium and long-term development plan of Shanghai Sports Industry Federation. Fan Jianlin, President of the Shanghai Sports Industry Federation, has issued an appointment letter to the first batch of expert consultants of the Shanghai Sports Industry Federation, hoping that the experts can provide strategic guidance and professional support for the sports industry with their professional knowledge and experience.

In order to better serve the development of the sports industry in Jiading, the Jiading District Sports Bureau has taken the lead in establishing the Jiading District Sports Industry Alliance. The establishment of the Industrial Alliance aims to establish a communication and exchange mechanism among sports enterprises in Jiading District, promote cross industry and cross regional exchanges and cooperation among various units, and promote the high-quality development of the sports industry in Jiading District.

During the keynote speech, Bao Mingxiao, Dean of the China Sports Policy Research Institute at Beijing Sport University, presented his unique insights on "the strategic space for the development of China's sports industry", while Huang Haiyan, a professor at Shanghai Sport University, presented his unique insights on "the characteristics and trends of sports consumption", providing participants with highly forward-looking guidance and suggestions.

Two roundtable sharing sessions were specially arranged for this event. The first session had the theme of "Deepening the Linkage of Business, Tourism, Culture and Sports Exhibitions, Expanding the Scale of Sports Consumption".
