This weekend, at the sunken square of the Wujiaochang commercial district in Yangpu District, the 2023 "Industrial Bank Cup" Shanghai Urban Amateur League "Rhyme Yangpu · Show" Shanghai Citizen Indoor Fitness Carnival became the finale of this year's Yangpu District National Fitness Promotion Week series of activities.
As a traditional annual national fitness project in Yangpu District, from Heshenghui to Bailian Youyi City, this is the third time Shanghai Citizen Indoor Fitness Carnival has settled in the Wujiaochang commercial district. This year, for the first time, the organizers have moved sports such as treadmills, fitness group exercises, and private education courses from the citizens' fitness stations to the open-air square. Under the shining lights of the landmark Wujiaochang Dome in Yangpu, participating citizens sweat profusely on the treadmills and sway to the dynamic music, forming another eye-catching "sports show belt" in Yangpu District.
This year's carnival project is divided into three units: the competition unit - Mini Marathon. Participating citizens can scan and log in on the smart treadmill provided by the organizer, set the corresponding group mileage, and click "Start" to start the race. After the competition, the results will be displayed in real-time on the live screen for ranking.
In addition to the competition unit, a popular cool group exercise class was set up on site as a participating unit; The three public fitness stations in Yangpu District have also dispatched professional fitness coaches to provide private teaching courses as experience units.
Sports and love are still one of the traditions of this event. The organizer specially invited the well-known charity organization "Yan and His Friends" in Shanghai to participate in the event and hold an on-site charity sale. The organizer will donate 10 yuan to charity for every citizen who signs up to participate in the event. Host Ayan is also integrated into the fitness crowd, experiencing the joy brought by sports together, and conveying love through health.
In the context of national fitness, "sports+public welfare" has given citizens a deeper significance in fitness, actively assuming social responsibility, advocating a healthy lifestyle, and promoting correct values. The Love Charity Team of "Ayan and His Friends" has been established for over a decade, mainly visiting nursing homes to offer services to the elderly, providing art training for children in welfare homes, and actively participating in sports activities in recent years. Ayan said, "We hope to make more people care about public welfare and join in through our own actions."
In recent years, Yangpu District has been guided by the needs of citizens for fitness, and has created a "Yundong Yangpu · Show" national fitness series event system. It has achieved monthly competitions, weekly exhibitions, and daily activities, holding more than 400 events per year, attracting nearly 300000 people to participate. On December 27th last year, the General Administration of Sport of China announced the first batch of exemplary cities and counties for national sports and fitness, and Yangpu District of Shanghai was listed.

Love sports, participate together, and cultivate talents. The Yangpu Station of the 2023 Shanghai Youth Sports Club League Climbing Competition was recently held at the Yeyan Climbing Hall in Yangpu District.
This competition consists of five groups, A, B, and C, consisting of men and women. More than 120 participants from local climbing venues, schools, individuals, and youth clubs in the Yangtze River Delta region signed up to participate. On site, there was a professional climbing referee team from Shanghai to escort the young players, allowing them to experience a professional climbing competition.
It is understood that many parents are experienced rock climbing enthusiasts who encourage their children to learn how to climb, hoping that their children will have the opportunity to participate in the National Games and even the Olympics. Some of the participating young athletes have been practicing rock climbing for many years and have also achieved some results. With the promulgation of the "double reduction" policy and the promotion of the integration of sports and education, more and more parents are no longer only concerned about their children's academic performance, but also hope that their children can balance work and rest, pay attention to their comprehensive physical and mental health development, and participate in sports more after class to strengthen their physical fitness, exercise their willpower, and master a sports skill proficiently.

The Youth Sports Club League will also become a training ground for the "Shanghai Sports Reserve Talent Social Training Base" in the future, helping Shanghai's social forces cultivate youth sports reserve talents.
