What does the once mysterious training base look like here, where Liu Xiang has trained in athletics? On August 11th, it was the "National Fitness Day · Sports Promotion Week" to explore the "secrets" of sports training. The "Government Open Day" series of activities organized by the Shanghai Sports Bureau, including "Entering the Shanghai Second Sports School and the Shanghai Athletic Training Management Center Athletic Sports Center," welcomed 15 lucky families. Entering the Cradle of Champions
As the alma mater of Olympic champion Liu Xiang in the 110 meter hurdles and Olympic champion Zhong Angel in cycling, Shanghai Second Sports School is the cradle of champions, under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Education Commission and the Municipal Sports Bureau. In 2004, it was named the National High level Sports Reserve Talent Base by the General Administration of Sport of China. The school covers an area of 140 acres and has a 400 meter plastic standard track and field field, an Asian first-class 200 meter indoor track and field hall, an international standard bicycle racing track, and a well lit and ventilated weightlifting hall. It also has a teaching building, office building, research center, strength training center, sports rehabilitation center, medical care room, student library, computer room, cultural and entertainment activity center, etc. The athletics center of Shanghai Sports Training Management Center and the Shanghai cycling team have also settled in the school, implementing the principle of resource sharing in hardware facilities.
Li Guoxiong, the principal of the Municipal Second Sports School and the director of the Athletics Center, warmly welcomed everyone. Through President Li's enthusiastic speeches and promotional videos, the citizens felt the vibrant and energetic atmosphere of the sports school. Asian Games men's 110m hurdles champion Xie Wenjun, National Games women's high jump champion Lu Jiawen, and National Games men's javelin throw champion Xu Jiajie exchanged and interacted with the citizens. The sports stars that were originally only seen on TV were right in front of us, and the children rushed to take photos. Fortunately, they asked a lot of questions.

On the basis of the original runway, the digital runway is equipped with three-dimensional force sensors, high-speed cameras, laser speedometers, and other collection and monitoring equipment installed below the runway. With intelligent interactive screens and multi-dimensional data collection as carriers, artificial intelligence automatically captures the information parameters of athletes during their running process.
Sun Chunfang, Vice President of the Municipal Second Sports School and Deputy Director of the Track and Field Sports Center, told reporters that digital runways can not only collect real-time information on the posture and speed of athletes while running, but also obtain the three-dimensional kicking force of each step on the ground, as well as key sports technical characteristics such as step point, step length, step frequency, and step speed. This allows coaches to comprehensively grasp the training situation of athletes, and athletes can also understand their own state and competitive level in real time. Technology helps greatly improve the performance of athletes.
At the event site, citizens eagerly had an intimate encounter with the digital runway. Stepping onto the digital track, each step of them has corresponding data appearing on the screen. The magical charm of technology adds new fun to their running experience, and the intelligent interactive large screen displays real-time data for each run, constantly stimulating everyone's running motivation and maximizing everyone's potential.
Seeing the enthusiasm of the citizens for participation, Sun Chunfang said that the government's open day activities are very meaningful. "Athletics is a major and basic event. In the past, many people's understanding of athletics was relatively single, but in fact, many athletes converted to athletics based on athletics, hoping that more people can participate in athletics."
