"The Great Wall is a representative symbol of the Chinese nation and an important symbol of Chinese civilization. Protecting the towering Great Wall requires the joint efforts of many parties. In 1984, Deng Xiaoping, Xi Zhongxun and other leading comrades wrote inscriptions for the "Love China, Build the Great Wall" campaign launched by some units in the capital, inspiring the enthusiasm of all sectors of society to protect the Great Wall. Over the past 40 years, a large number of Chinese people have continued their strength, worked hard for a long time, and protected the spiritual roots of the Chinese nation with their steps and sweat.
