In order to comprehensively enhance the professional ability and level of medical emergency professionals, especially young backbone personnel, in Shanghai, and fully demonstrate their professional ethics and spirit of love and dedication, recently, at the first Shanghai Medical Emergency Youth Vocational Skills Competition and the 6th China International Medical Expo Medical Security Skills Competition, four representative teams from medical institutions at the city and district levels each entered the finals. Through the exciting competition and intense competition in the three stages of "must answer questions", "rush answer questions", and "risk questions", the team won the first, second, and third prizes. Multiple related awards, including group and individual awards, excellent organization awards, and special contribution awards, were also presented on site.

It is reported that this competition focuses on assessing the professional skills of participants in emergency medical rescue, sea, land and air three-dimensional rescue, infectious disease treatment, treatment of nuclear radiation and chemical poisoning, and pre hospital treatment. It is divided into three categories for competition: "management", "medical", and "nursing".

The preliminary competition is organized by the health commissions of each district and relevant medical institutions. Through skill competitions and comparative learning, it combines the comprehensive improvement of medical emergency service level with the strengthening of medical emergency team construction, further strengthens medical emergency awareness, standardizes medical emergency response procedures, improves emergency response and disposal capabilities, and focuses on improving practical emergency response capabilities.

The semi-finals will be held between 32 representative teams selected from the preliminary rounds of medical and health institutions at all levels, including 160 professional and technical personnel engaged in medical emergency response and emergency medical rescue. A fierce competition was held in Shanghai Oriental Hospital, covering three parts: written test, skill operation, and tabletop deduction.

Wen Daxiang, Director of the Municipal Health Commission, stated that in order to develop strong skills and showcase youthful charm, we must closely focus on the construction of Shanghai's medical emergency system, especially the construction of medical emergency talent teams, and make greater contributions to safeguarding the bottom line of urban public health safety, ensuring the safety and physical health of the people, and making new and greater contributions to the medical emergency youth in the new era.

This event is hosted by the Municipal Health Commission, organized by the Municipal Medical Union, the Emergency Management Office of the Municipal Health Commission, the Youth League Committee of the Municipal Health Commission, and co organized by the Municipal Medical Association, the relevant committees of the Municipal Physician Association, and the Municipal Health Promotion Center.

A text message popped up in the emergency consultation group of the Department of Rheumatology, Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. The rheumatology consultant who was making rounds immediately rushed to the emergency room of the South Hospital District. The 67-year-old woman had a sudden high fever and dyspnea due to long-term use of glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants for systemic lupus erythematosus. This is the most critical patient with severe rheumatism. The emergency-rheumatism green channel is quickly opened, and the patient is immediately sent to the first rheumatic critical care unit in China: ECMO, ventilator and CRRT. After 8 days and nights of rescue, the patient gradually improved. Severe lung infections are the deadliest, and these medical teams are relaying when the consulting doctors arrive at the emergency room and watch the patient monitor.
