On May 24, "New Era, New Journey, New Starting Point" will enter the venue where the national anthem is sung in 2024. A themed event to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the national anthem was held at the Huangpu Theater.
On May 24, 1935, the movie "Children of the Storm" and the theme song "March of the Volunteers" written by Tian Han and composed by Nie Er premiered at the Huangpu Theater and quickly spread throughout the country, becoming a loud clarion call to encourage the Chinese people to fight bravely. Entering the place where the national anthem is sung and commemorating the national anthem theme event is a party-building brand project held every year at the Huangpu Theater Patriotism Education Base, including the red family letter recitation "Faith", the original drama "Mr. "Song", "Tian Han", etc. have all been performed here.
This year the Huangpu Theater celebrates its 90th birthday. Since its opening on February 1, 1934, it has premiered China’s first sound film, the first musical comedy, the first film to win international honors, and the scene where Premier Zhou Enlai inscribed name, the national anthem is sung here... As a witness to China's outstanding literary and artistic works, the story of Huangpu Theater will continue to be written.
On the day of the event, student representatives, teacher representatives, and corporate party member representatives gathered at the Huangpu Theater to commemorate this historic day with a solemn ceremony. Two groups, Nanjing East Road Street Regional Party Building Joint Conference and Shanghai Beijing East Road Primary School, awarded the first batch of Huangpu Theater "Theatre Experience Group" honorary certificates. The theater has set up an "experience group" base to further deepen the co-construction and sharing of regional resources and expand the dissemination of patriotic education and culture and art. Through professional guidance, members can carry out immersive volunteer experience activities, art exchange activities, etc. to experience the charm of theater art and history and culture.
The "Red Stories Moisturize My Heart" small volunteer commentator activity was launched at the same time. The organizer stated that a team of volunteer instructors from Gezhi Junior High School students regularly provide explanations in the patriotic education exhibition hall of Huangpu Theater. On this basis, the two parties have cooperated in depth to set up small volunteer commentators. It is hoped that through the activities of small volunteer commentators, young people can learn red stories, spread the noble qualities and patriotic spirit of heroes, understand the glorious history of the party, and enrich their families. National sentiments and courage to shoulder the mission of the times.
Shanghai Light Music Troupe and Nandonghai Dream Art Troupe presented the concert "New Era, New Journey, New Starting Point" to the audience. The concert used historical nodes as time clues to review the important moments before and after the birth of New China. While enjoying classic songs, the concert also felt the glorious history of the great party. The entire event ended successfully with the chorus of "March of the Volunteers".
