At the recent China Digital Economy Industry Development Conference, "Intelligent Rehabilitation Assisted Driving" from Suzhou Haixi Intelligent Medical Technology Co., Ltd. received many likes. Unlike traditional electric wheelchairs, Haixi Intelligent Rehabilitation Assist has added a rear control system, just like equipping electric wheelchairs with perceptrons that can perceive user thoughts. Through intelligent assistance, resistance, and off hand intelligent braking, it can achieve care and rehabilitation training functions.
Not only that, the asthma intelligent assisted drug delivery technology developed by enterprises for patients with asthma and chronic pulmonary resistance has also achieved new breakthroughs. The first generation prototype is expected to be released within this year and will fill the domestic technological gap. This project received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2020 and was supported by the Xiangcheng Technology Leading Talent Project last year. Currently, it is undergoing angel round financing.

In recent years, the ecological construction and improvement of Yangcheng Lake have been vigorously promoted, and the Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University has also participated in it. Relying on the platform of the research institute, we have broken through technological bottlenecks and effectively solved the problem of resource utilization of No.1 aquaculture wastewater in Yangcheng Lake through targeted cultivation of Chlorella vulgaris, effectively serving local industries.
Since the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement with Suzhou, the Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University has been awarded the China Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Award and the Second Prize of the China Society of Navigation Science and Technology Progress Award. It has successfully applied for 13 patents and signed industry university research strategic cooperation agreements with 19 enterprises and institutions. Seven high-tech enterprises have jointly built joint research and development centers, and 15 engineering industry related units have jointly built the Suzhou branch of Badao Engineering Hospital, empowering local industrial transformation services.
In September 2021, as the only selected implementing entity in Suzhou City, the Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University was approved to undertake the comprehensive innovation reform pilot task of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology's "New Research and Development Institutions, Science and Education Integration Training of Industrial Innovation Talents" - building a "New Generation Information Technology Science and Education Integration College". In April 2022, the Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University started construction on its carrier.
But at this time, the research team had already started working in a temporary office space, and the lack of experimental space limited the research and development process of several core teams. In order to assist the innovation team in scientific research experiments, Xiangcheng High tech Zone held a special meeting to study the relevant situation and decided to transform the factory located at No. 7 Pingkang Road into the Pingkang Road Experimental Base of Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University. After design, renovation, and construction, the Pingkang Road Experimental Base was renovated in just over a month. The experimental equipment of five research institutes, including the Institute of Abandoned Soil Resource Utilization, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, the Institute of Dual Carbon Technology, the Institute of Water Information Intelligent Perception and Twinning, and the Institute of Water Environment Governance and Ecological Restoration, has gradually entered, and the experimental bases have actually been put into use.
The Suzhou Research Institute of Hohai University has established a new mechanism for talent cultivation and the integration and development of scientific and technological achievements through innovative, efficient and flexible professional and master's training models.
