Today, the Suzhou Municipal Government and the Nantong Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build a national comprehensive transportation hub, working together to promote high-quality modernization of transportation and cross river integrated development. Suzhou Municipal Party Secretary Cao Lubao, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Wu Qingwen met with Nantong Municipal Party Secretary Wu Xinming, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Zhang Tong, and witnessed the signing of the contract together.
In recent years, Suzhou and Nantong have pressed the "fast forward" button for comprehensive cross river integration and high-quality integrated development. Recently, the official website of Nanjing Sports Institute showed that Olympic champion Zhang Jun has been appointed as the vice president of Nanjing Sports Institute.
Zhang Jun is from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He was born in November 1977 and joined the badminton team of the first department of competitive sports at Nanjing Sport University in December 1991. He has served as the deputy director of the training department and the deputy director of the badminton department at Nanjing Sport University. At the age of 46, Zhang Jun was a key player in the Chinese badminton team's doubles, winning two mixed doubles gold medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the 2004 Athens Olympics. After retiring, Zhang Jun coached the Chinese badminton team. At the beginning of 2017, Zhang Jun became the head coach of the Chinese badminton team's doubles team, cultivating Olympic champions such as Cai Yun, Fu Haifeng, and Zhang Nan. Established in 1956, Nanjing Sport University is the only independent sports higher education institution and an important provincial competitive sports training base in Jiangsu Province.
