Wuxi has a large screen in China | Digital | Wuxi
Today, at the National Digital Film Industry Park in Wuxi, China's largest film level giant screen shooting screen officially lit up.
The largest "movie grade giant screen" in China, with an arc length of 44 meters, a height of 10 meters, and a diameter of 23 meters, is not just a "super screen", but a core hardware. Behind it is the first "5G Smart Virtual Photography Joint Laboratory" in China that is being jointly built by Wuxi National Digital Film Industry Park and China Academy of Film Science and Technology. As the three cores of this joint laboratory, the 5G Smart Virtual Photography Center, AIGC Film and Television Science and Technology Innovation Center, and Film and Television Intelligent Computing Center have been unveiled simultaneously.
In recent years, the digital wave has swept across the world, and digital technology has become a pioneer in the world's technological revolution and industrial transformation. In the field of film and television production, virtual filming technology has brought more new possibilities to digital film production. Compared to previous green screen shooting, this movie grade giant screen shooting screen is based on LED screen virtual shooting, which can significantly reduce the cost of funds and time in film and television production. On the one hand, relying on LED screens, the shooting team can project scenes such as deserts, forests, and starry sky directly onto the screen without using any external scenery, integrating virtual images with real performances, achieving that what is captured is what is obtained. On the other hand, LED virtual shooting screens create an immersive shooting scene where actors can directly interact with the virtual visible scene, allowing them to quickly enter the scene and fully perform their roles.
Behind the Wuxi screen lies the ambition of Wuxi Binhu District to build a film and television capital——
The predecessor of Wuxi National Digital Film Industry Park was the largest steel rolling plant in Wuxi - Xuelang Churolling Plant. More than ten years ago, Wuxi established the development strategy of "moving south and industry northward", transforming its industries. In recent years, the digital film industry park has gathered more than 800 industry scale enterprises, including Bona Film, Xinghao Film, Maoyan Culture, Hongdao Film, Jiecheng Xingyuan and other well-known industry enterprises; A series of films such as "Chinese Doctor", "Chinese Captain", "Journey to the West", and "The World" have won various international and domestic awards. In March of this year, with the organization and promotion of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce and the Provincial Radio and Television Bureau, the Wuxi National Digital Film Industry Park presented a batch of excellent film and television works and advanced digital film technology at the 27th Hong Kong International Film and Television Exhibition. The park also had underwater special effects studios, 5G smart virtual photography joint laboratories, digital human scanning matrices, LED virtual shooting... Last year, the park undertook 318 film and television productions, many of which won national awards. In October last year, the park launched the "Hualaiwu Metaverse World" project, which landed in five themed pavilions, involving various application scenarios such as tourism, exhibitions, performances, live streaming, shopping, and script killing. Through advanced digital media technologies such as AR and VR, trendy digital art content, and a comprehensive sound field, a digital interactive entertainment scene with virtual and real symbiosis was constructed, opening up a new era of "Metaverse+Digital Film and Television" innovative development for Wuxi's film and television industry. The new gameplay created by "Metaverse+China's largest movie level giant screen shooting screen" has considerable imagination space.
