Today, the Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee shared the stories of three individuals: Talents | Project | Secretary
Today, the Nantong Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Week opens. At the opening ceremony, in addition to traditional activities such as releasing new policies for talents and signing household registration projects, Wu Xinming, Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee, shared three stories about talents realizing their dreams in Nantong, making everyone confident in entering, choosing, and rooting in Nantong.
The protagonist of the first story is Yuan Hongliang, the founder of Wotai Energy Nantong Co., Ltd., from Huai'an, Jiangsu. When he studied in Germany 20 years ago, he found that foreigners' impression of Made in China still remained in the "the Four Great Inventions", and his heart was deeply hurt, so he decided to "make the world look at Made in China with new eyes". In 2012, Yuan Hongliang resolutely returned to China to start his own business and ventured into Nantong with a backpack, focusing on the domestic blank field of lithium battery energy storage. At present, the company has developed from a small sampan with three employees to a flagship with over a thousand employees at home and abroad. Multiple technologies have filled domestic gaps, broken foreign monopolies, and won the World Energy Storage Award. It is currently sprinting to go public on the Science and Technology Innovation Board.
The protagonist of the second story is Ju Jianhong, the chairman of Jiangsu Di'ao Microelectronics Co., Ltd. He is a native of Rugao, Nantong and a 1988 alumni of Nantong University. After graduating from university, he went abroad to study and has multiple invention patents. He was one of the outstanding Chinese executives in the international semiconductor industry at that time. In 2010, Ju Jianhong returned from his studies and gave back to his hometown. He led his team back to Nantong to establish Emperor Aowei, becoming one of the first outstanding talents in Nantong. Nowadays, the company has entered the leading matrix in the domestic signal chain simulation chip and mid to high end power management simulation chip fields, and became the first listed company in Nantong Innovation Zone in August last year.
The protagonist of the third story is Zhou Tianyu, a graduate of Tsinghua University born in 1995, from Jinan, Shandong. He is now the founder of Amyl Tinglan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., which is located in Changle Town, Haimen. In 2020, Zhou Tianyu formed an alliance with Nantong at the 5th "Haizhi Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition in Haimen. He left the big city and took root in the rural areas of Nantong, building hundreds of acres of high-tech agricultural production greenhouses and creating a beautiful business card for promoting agriculture through science and technology in Nantong. After obtaining nearly 10 million yuan in angel round financing in 2021, the company founded by Zhou Tianyu recently received over 10 million yuan in equity financing from the Nantong Innovation and Development Fund, which will provide strong support for his research and promotion of polymer material soilless cultivation technology.
In Nantong, there are still many stories like Yuan Hongliang, Ju Jianhong, and Zhou Tianyu. Upon further investigation, it is not difficult to find that Nantong has always upheld culture and education, and has produced numerous talented individuals. Nantong has held 13 consecutive Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Weeks, with over 900 settled talent projects and over 11 billion yuan in new talent and venture capital. Nowadays, in order to deeply implement the strategy of strengthening the city with talents, Nantong is continuously promoting the "Jianghai Talent Gathering Project" and launching a new policy for high value talents. In terms of building a youth and talent friendly city, in early March last year, Nantong decided to promote population gathering, especially among young people, and strive to achieve an average annual net increase of no less than 42000 young permanent residents in Nantong by the end of 2025. At present, the total number of talents in Nantong has reached 1.57 million, including 130000 high-level talents and 530000 high skilled talents, firmly ranking first in Jiangsu Province.
At the opening ceremony, the Talent New Policy 4.0 version and 30 new science and technology innovation articles were released. It is mentioned that college graduates who have just graduated or come to Tonghuitong for job seeking and entrepreneurship within two years can apply for free stay at the Youth Station for two consecutive years. They can stay three times within a year, each time not exceeding 10 days. For college graduates who have not been employed within two years of leaving school and have achieved flexible employment and paid social security, a subsidy of 50% of their actual social security contributions will be provided, with a maximum subsidy period of two years.
In addition, the College Student Social Practice Campus Local Collaboration Alliance has been officially launched, jointly established by Nantong, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Southeast University and other well-known universities.
