The largest "refueling station" in the Yangtze River Delta is located at the receiving station in this coastal county of Jiangsu
Recently, the Rudong High Quality Development Symposium and Technology Talent Investment Conference were held in Shanghai, and the Rudong Talent Station in Shanghai was unveiled.
What does Rudong have? In the impression of Shanghai people, it is probably Yangkou Port and small seafood. Little did they know that in recent years, Rudong has transformed into an energy city - mainly due to port advantages, a large amount of LNG transported by sea is received and stored in Rudong, and transported to Jiangsu and even various parts of the Yangtze River Delta.
Now, in the waters near Rudong, an average of one LNG giant ship can be seen every 4 and a half days. Sunshine Island, built against the harbor, is the largest offshore LNG energy island in the country, with an annual unloading capacity of over 10 million tons. In May of this year, the world's largest LNG carrier, Qatar's Almayada, carried 115000 tons of LNG to the Jiangsu LNG receiving station of PetroChina on Sunshine Island. Last year, the station unloaded a total of 7.135 million tons, equivalent to the annual gas consumption of 50 million households, setting a new historical record. This receiving station is currently the largest energy refueling station in the Yangtze River Delta region, with a maximum daily gasification output that can meet the 2-day gas demand of the entire industry in Jiangsu Province.
On the same sunny island, multiple energy projects such as the LNG storage and transportation peak shaving project in Jiangsu Province, the GCL Huidong LNG receiving station, and the China Resources Gas Jiangsu Rudong LNG receiving station are gradually rising. After all are completed, the annual unloading and turnover capacity of Yangkou Port will exceed 20 million tons, becoming an important intersection point for China's West East Gas Pipeline, North Gas Southward Migration, and Sea Gas Landing. In the future, the carrying capacity of Rudong LNG unloading base can be expanded to 30 million tons.
Natural gas and related industries have become the dominant characteristics of Rudong, but it is not limited to building an energy city here. Rudong County has the largest mudflat in Jiangsu Province, and is laying out an energy industry pattern of wind, light and gas complementation. Rudong has built the largest offshore wind farm cluster in Asia, with a wind power installed capacity of 5.62 million kilowatts and nearly 3.5 billion kilowatt hours of wind power connected to the grid in the first quarter; The coastal mudflat is also a new space for energy development. On the 100000 mu mudflat, Rudong is developing a centralized photovoltaic project. Last year, the grid connected electricity of Rudong New Energy reached 13.07 billion kilowatt hours, exceeding the total electricity consumption of the whole society by 4.954 billion kilowatt hours, and continuing to build a national green energy demonstration city.
Rudong and Shanghai are geographically connected and closely related, with fruitful economic exchanges.
For many years, Rudong has always adhered to the principle of "cross river integration and integration with Shanghai", making Shanghai the preferred direction for talent, industry, and capital docking. At present, Rudong has four "enclave incubators" in Shanghai, including the Rudong Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center and the Rudong Advanced Manufacturing Park Rudong Science and Technology Innovation Base. At the same time, Rudong adheres to the principle of "not for all, but for use" and encourages enterprises headquartered in Rudong to establish non independent legal person R&D institutions in Shanghai. R&D personnel can enjoy various local treatment for talent plan applications.
