Recently, the Taizhou Huangyan Green Industry Development Conference was held in Shanghai.
Located in the "Taizhou Grand Water Tank" Changtan Reservoir and Huangyan with high forest coverage, it is known as the "backyard" of Taizhou. It has three "golden business cards": "Millennium Yongning, Chinese Orange Source, and Mold Capital". At present, Huang Yan is making every effort to play the "three cards" of resource elements, industrial foundation, and cultural momentum, promoting the green transformation of development mode, and launching new efforts in industries such as high-precision manufacturing, digital new economy, green new energy, and healthy new consumption.
At present, the new energy vehicle industry in Taizhou is showing signs of growth, and the low-carbon energy industry is fully enriched. We are making every effort to build a national new energy demonstration city. As one of the main urban areas of Taizhou, Huangyan used to be an important birthplace of China's stock cooperation economy, but now it is an important component of Taizhou's green industry chain. In recent years, relying on the industrial foundation of molding, electric vehicles, and automotive parts, Huangyan has focused on building emerging industry bases in Taizhou City, Yongning River Science and Technology Innovation Belt, and Jiangkou Industry 4.0 Core Area, and has introduced multiple preferential policies. Especially, the molding industry is the first pillar industry in Huangyan. After more than 60 years of development, it is now focusing on building a core industry of molding worth billions of yuan. Among them, Huangyan is known as the "capital of Chinese molds" and is also a demonstration base for upgrading the Chinese mold industry. Industrial product molds such as Airbus large aircraft, Fuxing high-speed railway, and new energy lithium batteries can all be completed in Huangyan.
As a high-quality development oriented urban area with rich cultural heritage, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and strong industrial foundation, Huangyan is also an important partner of Tongji University, a traditional engineering strong university located in Shanghai, to systematically participate in promoting high-quality development in the county. On July 4th, 2023, at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Taizhou Week event and the Taizhou City Promotion Conference, Li Yueqi, Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, passionately talked about the "chemical reactions" between Taizhou and Shanghai. He mentioned that a group of professors from Tongji University's advantageous disciplines, such as Yang Guiqing, Wu Zhiqiang, and Chang Qing, had formed ties with Taizhou and referred to it as a "journey from one person to a group of people.". Among them, Professor Yang Guiqing from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University was the first to come, and he also has a more talked about nickname, "Professor Bu Bag". For 10 years, he always carried a cloth bag, which would always contain a few Huangyan honey oranges. At the end of 2012, Yang Guiqing formed an alliance with Huang Yan and participated in the renovation plan of Shatan Village in Yutou Township, Huangyan. Under his leadership, Shatan Village began a series of organic renovations, such as protecting precious ancient villages. The previously unknown hollow village has now become a famous "internet celebrity village" in the local area, and Shatan Village has also become a representative work of Yang Guiqing's beautiful rural construction.
Recently, a series of activities for the 10th anniversary of campus land cooperation between Tongji University and Huangyan District, Taizhou City were held at the Rural Revitalization College in Beach Village, where experts, scholars, and officials discussed rural revitalization together. At yesterday's meeting, Lv Peiming, Executive Vice President of Tongji University, stated that Tongji University will take the 10th anniversary of Tongji Huangyan Campus Local Cooperation as a new starting point, focus on local needs and university directors, continuously deepen cooperation in creative design, cultural revitalization, rural revitalization, and other areas, and help Huangyan form a green and low-carbon production and lifestyle.
In recent years, Huangyan has deeply integrated into national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, actively laid out strategic emerging industries such as new energy and materials, medicine and health, intelligent manufacturing, and digital economy, and promoted the supplementation and efficiency of traditional industries, the expansion and capacity expansion of advantageous industries, and the clustering of future industrial chains. At the conference, 14 major projects were signed, covering multiple fields such as digital economy, new energy, new materials, and cultural tourism.
