Shaoxing has set the goal of striving for excellence in the four aspects. For the past 20 years, Shaoxing has continuously played a combination of transformation and upgrading, making every effort to build an advanced manufacturing base, and significantly improving the quality and efficiency of the development of the real economy.

On the other hand, we will accelerate innovation driven development, deepen the implementation of the strategy of prioritizing scientific and technological innovation and talent to strengthen the city. The number of national high-tech enterprises has reached 2605, and R&D expenditure accounts for 2.87% of GDP. We have been selected as a national innovative city and have ranked in the top 10 in the national intellectual property protection performance evaluation for four consecutive years; Introducing and cultivating 1065 leading talents at or above the provincial level, with talent attraction ranking 23rd in the country. At the same time, we will fully leverage the role of local elites and strengthen the "sweet potato economy". The number of market entities has increased from 170000 to 750000, the number of listed companies has increased from 13 to 98, and there are over 110000 Vietnamese commercial enterprises abroad. Actively integrated into the "the Belt and Road" construction, the share of foreign trade exports in the country increased from 8.8 ‰ to 16.2 ‰, and the trade volume of China Light Textile City exceeded 330 billion yuan.
Over the past 20 years, with the connection between Line 1 of the rail transit and Hangzhou, the new trunk line of cultural tourism has been connected to Hangzhou and Ningbo, and the completion and operation of Jiashao Bridge, Hangzhou Shaoxing Taiwan Expressway, Hangzhou Taiwan High Speed Railway, etc. Shaoxing is forming a "30 minute urban area, 30 minute Hangzhou Ningbo, and 60 minute Shanghai" transportation circle, continuously narrowing the temporal and spatial distance with surrounding large cities.
