Shanghai Conservatory of Music Jazz Concert opens in Huangyan, Zhejiang Province | Jazz | Shanghai Conservatory of Music
On August 26th, the "Entering Huangyan" Shanghai Conservatory of Music Jazz Concert was held on the Green City Lawn in Huangyan District. That evening, teachers and students from Shanghai Conservatory of Music presented 14 diverse jazz performances to the citizens, attracting thousands of viewers.
With the bright moon above my head and the green grass under my feet. The concert venue is bustling with people, and the cool stage lighting collides with the lively and dynamic jazz passion, bringing a dual enjoyment of visual and auditory to the audience. "The music is very pleasant, and the atmosphere on site is also very good, making people feel the urge to dance." Citizen Wang Zhen is a jazz enthusiast. She heard that the professional team from Shanghai Conservatory of Music came to perform in Huangyan, so she came to the scene early to wait. "Previously, there were few large-scale events like this in Huangyan. In recent years, cultural activities have become increasingly diverse, and I feel that the cultural atmosphere in Huangyan has also become stronger."
On stage, musicians unleash the charm of music to their heart's content, while off stage audiences wave fluorescent sticks and immerse themselves in the ocean of music. Cai Jialu, a prospective college student who has just finished taking the college entrance examination this year, has been studying drumming for 12 years. His excellent performance has made him feel excited and he exclaimed that he is truly satisfied. "The improvised drum performances just now were very deep into my heart, and I felt really amazing!"
The concert is divided into four different sections, integrating jazz with ethnic music, classical music, electronic music, pop music, and more. Among the 14 tracks performed on site, there are traditional jazz tracks, original works from jazz teachers at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, as well as jazz adaptations of Chinese folk songs such as "Xin Tian You" and "Xiao He Liu Shui". The performance of the fourth section is a jazz band composed of 20 people, and famous singers, musicians, and alumni of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Li Quan, were invited to perform four jazz works together.
In addition to outdoor performances, the music festival also features specially decorated food and camping leisure areas, providing audiences with a better viewing experience.
This event is the first large-scale music event held since the signing of the cultural and artistic activity normalization strategic cooperation project between Huangyan District of Taizhou City and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In the future, Huangyan District will continue to rely on rich cultural and tourism resources to create a benchmark of Taizhou music and art that showcases the cultural heritage of Yongning for thousands of years and the character of a youth friendly city.
