What is there in Taizhou? Four data points can be used to summarize its connotation and characteristics——
The first data is for 45 years. In the 45 years since the reform and opening up, Taizhou has created a development model dominated by private economy, and the development of private economy is a unique temperament exhibited by Taizhou in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. Taizhou has 68 national industrial bases and 73 listed companies, with credit asset quality ranking first in Zhejiang Province for five consecutive years. It has huge potential for open development and an excellent environment for attracting talents and conducting business. At the same time, Taizhou businessmen are from all over the world, daring to venture and take risks. More than 1.5 million Taizhou people have started businesses and developed both domestically and internationally. Last year, the export value of Taizhou's foreign trade exceeded 250 billion yuan, with economic and trade exchanges with 215 countries and regions. 140 Fortune 500 companies invested and established businesses in Taizhou, and in the past five years, there have been more than 60 overseas mergers and acquisitions. The second data is 400 kilometers, which is the distance from the center of Shanghai to the center of Taizhou. At present, Taizhou has achieved high-speed rail access to Shanghai within 2 hours and key cities in the Yangtze River Delta within 3 hours. The planned coastal high-speed rail to Shanghai only takes 1 hour. Next year, Taizhou's new airport will be put into operation, which can meet the annual travel needs of 4 million people. In recent years, the industry in Taizhou has leveraged Shanghai's technology, talent, and brand to deeply integrate into the Shanghai economic cycle, expanding nationwide and globally. More than 200000 Taizhou people have developed in Shanghai, and tens of thousands of enterprises have been established. The automotive industry is represented by Geely, Volvo, and others, with a total output value exceeding 150 billion yuan. The pharmaceutical industry is represented by China's top 100 pharmaceutical industry enterprises such as Haizheng, Huahai, and Xianju, and is a "supermarket" for global raw material procurement. Its drug production capacity is leading nationwide.
