Climbing the mountains in Huangyan, Du Fan | Shen. Hanzhu | Huangyan
I rarely go up the mountain in summer. In the summer of Jiangnan, the weather is hot, but I didn't expect it to be cool on Cuiping Mountain in Huangyan, Zhejiang. There are not many steps on the mountain, and there are few people coming. The wild grass grows tall and fluffy. Lao Fang grew up in Cuiping Mountain and was an expert in ancient coin research. His grandmother traveled ten miles with red makeup and married into a village at the foot of Cuiping Mountain. Along the way, he told us the story of Cuiping Mountain that his grandmother had told him, and also told us one by one. He had already drawn a complete map of the ancient paths of grass and trees in the mountains, flying waterfalls, and stone caves in his mind.
Lao Fang is a map of walking in Cuiping Mountain.
The mountains are lush with grass and trees, and the air is filled with the fragrance of flowers. Passing through the Lingyan Reservoir, I went to see the Huangwan Yiguan Tomb. In front of the Yiguan Tomb, there was a wild flower with sepals as white as leaves, and the flowers were yellow five pointed stars. The flower is called Jade Leaf Golden Flower. The name of the flower is vulgar, but its leaves are cool. Teacher Jimin taught me to eat its leaves, chew them slowly in my mouth, and finally spit out the residue. Let's take a breath and feel cool. Take another sip of water, and the tip of the tongue jumps up with a cool grass leaf fragrance that is not mint.
Leaving Huangwan Yiguan Tomb and walking along the cypress tree path in the mountains, I heard the sound of a stream through the forest. I thought there was a river, but also thought it was raining. I only heard the sound of water cascading one after another. Peering through layers of trees, it turned out to be a Bai Lian waterfall, flashing like a wandering dragon in the mountains.
I climbed mountains and crossed rivers all the way, crossing green trees and clear streams. If it weren't for Lao Fang leading the way, I would have probably lost myself in the mountains. Just as I was lost in direction, suddenly a waterfall came into my sight, making a loud sound. Is it the waterfall that I saw on the mountain? With a loud roar, the stone wall from a high place hung down towards the deep pool, plummeting straight down, as if accumulating the strength of the entire summer, surging with endless water, shattering green and shattering red, exploding in the valley.
Even so, when you stand in front of it, you only feel a tranquility like a paradise in the world, with clear wind and clear water, and a stack of smoke and green shelves. This waterfall is like a graceful fairy in a skirt, with flying pearls splashing jade, as white as condensed fat, and a graceful figure.
There is a deep pool under the waterfall, and the water in the pool ranges from extremely shallow to suddenly deep. The water color is light in shallow areas and deep in depths. Lao Fang said that there are six pools in Cuiping Mountain, and this pool is called Three Pools, also known as Lingyan Pool. The water in the pool is deep and bottomless. The elderly in the village said that this pool leads directly to the water in the East China Sea. Someone used a vine string to test the depth of the pool with stones, and even though a roll of vine string was used up, it still couldn't reach the bottom of the pool, which can be described as boundless.
There is a stone piled wall foundation by the waterfall, about 2 meters high, which was the foundation of the Baocui Pavilion eight hundred years ago. According to the Annals of Chicheng County, Fanchuan Academy was the place where Mr. Hui'an and the Second Duke of Nanhu Fangshan gave lectures. Next to it is the Baocui Pavilion, also built by the master. According to the Huangyan County Annals, there is a waterfall hanging down from the cliff in Lingyan, Huangyan County. In the fourth year of the Qingyuan reign of the Song Dynasty, he ordered Chang Jun to stand on top of the Sun Pavilion and call it Baocui. Once perched on the deep pool, now there is only a desolate and desolate scene left, with bamboo poles, cold springs, and the sound of empty valleys, leaving no traces to be found. Not even a signboard. If it weren't for the guidance of Lao Fang, even if we were in front of him, we wouldn't have imagined the ancient Xiting here, where the poet sang and the tourists were like a shuttle.
As for the Fanchuan Academy next to the Baocui Pavilion, the remaining base of the academy is nestled among the vines, with bitter bamboo growing on it. Fanchuan Academy is run by Du Ye and Du Zhiren from Dujia Village in Huangyan. During the Chunxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi served as an official twice in Taizhou and wrote books and lectures at the Fanchuan Academy, teaching and opening up the education trend of the Huang Yan generation. Descendants have commented that "Fanchuan Academy can be ranked among the three tripods of Xin'an and Kaoting, and is a school that stands out within the world." The former Fanchuan Academy also had white walls and gray tiles, curved eaves, and flying eaves. I have seen the restored gate of Fanchuan Academy at the Huangyan Museum, with blue and gray bricks and tiles, and exquisite and magnificent stone carvings of flower and branch figures.
Exit from Lingyan Pond, head downhill towards Lingyan Cave. Lingyan Cave is the place where Du Fan's youth studied.
In Lao Fang's impression, the Lingyan Cave used to have a large entrance and a deep interior. He can't remember how deep it is. The current Lingyan Cave has been transformed into a temple, where immortals and bodhisattvas are displayed. There is also a lazy monk. The lazy monk is not in the temple, and the dead branches and weeds on the mountain path are also lazy to clean. Occasionally, a layman comes to help clean them. I picked a long wooden bench and sat in the Lingyan Cave of Cuiping Mountain to take a nap. On the desk in the cave, there were two pots of crab claw orchids. The crab claw orchids did not bloom, but the pink sorrel grass that emerged from the gaps in the leaves of the crab claw orchids was incredibly cute and charming.
Being a lazy monk is not bad either. Traveling in the mountains, the clouds are deep and unknown. Suddenly, I felt a hint of idle clouds and wild cranes.
The Lingyan Cave is cool and secluded, with a platform at the entrance. In front of the platform, there is a huge tung oil tree bearing fig like green tung oil fruits. There is also pine. Pines grow empty valleys. On the cave, Zhu Xi engraved the four characters "Cold Bamboo and Pine Wind". The word "pine" is good! It is both dustless and silent, both worldly and hidden, exuding a pure and unparalleled temperament. "The bright moon shines among the pine trees," "the pine trees on the empty mountains fall," and "the old pine trees enter the cold clouds." It seems that with just the word "pine", the sentence has a serene atmosphere. The word "cold bamboo" reminds me of the hardships and loneliness that Du Fan struggled to study in the cave.
In the ninth year of Song Chunxi, Du Fan was born in Dujia Village at the foot of Cuiping Mountain. Young Du Fan was studying hard in the cave. Summer is not a day for reading, mosquitoes bite, and the holes are filled with the sound of flies and bees flapping their wings. But the cave is cool inside, without the hustle and bustle of the market. A scholar in the mountains is completely focused, and reading is like going into seclusion, unlike today, where they are distracted everywhere. Despite the birds and swallows dancing outside the cave, and the blooming flowers, Du Fan remained at home, sitting at his desk and reading.
On the green grassland, insects chirped at night, and Du Fan, like countless students studying hard in a cold window, spent countless days without sleep or food, like hanging a beam and piercing a thigh. In the first year of Jiading, at the age of 26, Du Fan passed the imperial examination and began his career. He traveled all the way from Huangyan to the whole country, holding the highest official position in Huangyan's history, reaching the position of Right Prime Minister and Chief Secretary.
The mountain people who work day and night at the foot of the mountain never imagined that such a poor young man in the cave could pass the imperial examination, become a high-ranking official, and become a knowledgeable and knowledgeable talent.
Du Fan was an official who lived a peaceful life, was honest and disciplined, and was brave enough to offer advice. When serving as the magistrate of Ningguo, he saw the disaster victims crying out in hunger and cold, and voluntarily donated his salary, even urging wealthy households to distribute food. Du Fan passed away, and Emperor Lizong was so saddened that he dropped out of court and reduced his meals for three days. He was posthumously honored with the title "Qingxian" and praised him as a virtuous and upright minister. Scholars in the Qing Dynasty referred to it as the "crown of the Southern Expedition's officials".
Lingyan Cave, also known as "Kongming Cave", is surrounded by many Ming Dynasty cliff carvings. Unfortunately, due to the erosion of rainwater and the spread of moss, many handwriting can no longer be seen clearly. The centipede crawled through the crevices of the stone carvings. I found the word "Kongming" and engraved it in Huang Wan's poem "Little You Yin".
The word "Kongming" is good, it's not in vain for us to plow grass and thorns all the way, step on stones and cross streams. How is it good? Kongming, just like the appearance of life. Kong and Ming are also the appearance of Cuiping Mountain.
