On July 3rd, the cumulative production of new energy vehicles in China exceeded 20 million, marking a new stage of high-quality development for new energy vehicles in China, based on industrialization and marketization.
Looking at production, the independent and controllable ability of the industrial chain is steadily improving, and core technologies are continuously breaking through. Batteries, motors, and electronic control technologies have gradually established competitive advantages, and intelligent networking technologies such as intelligent cabins have reached international advanced levels. Domestic large computing power chips, LiDAR, and new generation intelligent driving systems are gradually being installed and applied in vehicles. The energy density of mass-produced power batteries reaches 300 watt hours per kilogram, which is at the international leading level. New group technology and high nickel cobalt free batteries have achieved breakthrough applications. The peak power density of the driving motor exceeds 4.8 kW/kg, and the maximum speed reaches 16000 rpm. The average power consumption of pure electric passenger cars per 100 kilometers has decreased to 12.35 kilowatt hours.
Looking at sales, China has cultivated the world's largest consumer market, with a global market share of over 60%, and exports continue to grow rapidly. In the first half of this year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 3.788 million and 3.747 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 42.4% and 44.1%, respectively; The domestic market share reached 28.3%. In the first half of the year, a total of 534000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times.
Looking at usage, the pace of charging infrastructure construction has accelerated, effectively alleviating consumers' range anxiety. As of the end of last year, China had built a total of 5.21 million charging stations and 1973 battery swapping stations, forming the world's largest charging and swapping network. In the first half of this year, the charging infrastructure increased by 1.442 million units. As of the end of June, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in China was 6.652 million units, an increase of 69.8% year-on-year.
Standing at a new starting point, China's new energy vehicle industry has clear development goals and broad prospects, and will surely reach a new level.
